This has been sitting in my drafts for a long time. It reflects on our desires, our wants, our longings, the things we believe we need and how easily the line between them begins to blur.
Sometimes what we want feels so strong, so consuming, that we start to mistake it for something essential… something necessary… something meant for us.
But what we desire is not always what we truly need. It may not even be what is best for us. And perhaps the most sincere thing we can do when clarity escapes us is to trust Allah’s will, even when we do not understand it.
