  • Cover 2 Cover Ep. #13: The 1991 PWI 500 Part 1 (#350-#500)

Kris Zellner & Rob Naylor are BACK with a new episode of Cover 2 Cover where we focus on the December 1991 issue of Pro Wrestling Illustrated, featuring THE INAUGURAL PWI 500. This is the first episode in a multi-part series on that issue as we go deep on the bottom third of the list, talking about wrestlers ranked from 350 to 500. We talk about a wide variety of guys from the major promotions to the indies, and even talk about names that neither of us had ever seen, which is definitely rare. This is a tremendous show, and the rest of the series should be pretty damn hot as well, so listen now!!!!!

We start with Japan as we talk about the state of All Japan—which was quite the hodge podge of wrestlers at the time, New Japan being deep into the Best of the Super Juniors tour, possibly the worst TripleMania ever in AAA, Vampiro doing Vampiro things, Road Dogg getting arrested at a show in North Carolina, Super Dragon and friends tearing it up in XPW, and an eBay story involving Francine & Tammy Sytch that has to be heard to be believed, and much more. Extremely fun show so listen now!!!!

  • Ep. #251: May 20-26, 2001 with Rob Bihari (Part 1)

Kris & David are joined by Rob Bihari (@RobViper) to discuss the week that was May 19-25, 2001. This is Part 1, as we discuss the World Wrestling Federation and everything that went on there during the week, which was a loaded one featuring Judgement Day where Steve Austin & Triple H had major issues, setting up Raw the next night, where they lost their tag titles to Chris Benoit & Chris Jericho in one of the most memorable matches in show history…featuring Triple H's torn quad injury. We also go to Smackdown for an unadvertised TLC match that is one of the greatest ever in that genre but gets slept on because it was on a random TV show. We also talk about Shane McMahon’s “C is for cookie” promo, Terri Runnels pouring the APA's beer on her shirt, and lots more from TV. We also talk about the pending involvement of WCW talent and all the plans for them at the time.

Again, Part 2 will be released separately, so make sure you listen to that after you listen to this great piece of audio!!!!
