Allisah, aged 9, asks the nerds all about human bodies and we explore some of its mysteries.
Dreams, eye colour, runny noses, burps and farts in particular. Some of those mysteries are a bit more embarrassing than others!
What are dreams made of? Why do we dream? Is it possible for us to have a different eye colour than our parent's? Why do our noses run when we eat hot foods? Why do we burp and fart?

James, aged 9, asks the nerds all about how we track time on our planet and the Gregorian calendar.
Why do we have 24 hours in a day? Why do we have 365 days in a year? Why do we have a leap year every 4 years? Why are there 60 seconds and minutes?
We delve deep into the science of measuring time, from the Mayan calendar of 365 days and the Babylonians base 60 counting system to the Gregorian calendar and its complicated leap year rules!

Elyes, aged 11, asks the nerds all about black holes.
What is a black hole? What is the event horizon? Why is it called a black hole? Can you see a black hole? What would happen if you fell into a black hole? What is spaghettification?
We delve deep into the astrophysics of the most mind-bending phenomenon in our cosmos!

Layla, aged 11, asks the nerds about the layers of the Earth, gravity and the fundamental forces.
Why does the Earth have so many layers? What is the core, mantle and crust are made out of? Why is gravity different on other planets? What are the fundamental forces of nature?
We talk about geology, how we know what's in the interior of the Earth, gravity, the electromagnetic force and the strong and weak nuclear forces.

Oscar Blue, aged 6, asks the nerds about our blue planet. He has questions about the oceans, the seas, marine life and marine habitats.
We talk about why clownfish and pelagic fish choose to live where they do, why the ocean is blue, why the sky is blue, how water came to Earth on comets, why the blue planet has land as well and what would happen if climate change causes the ice on Earth to melt and the sea level rose.

Raafae, aged 10, asks the nerds about the big bang, the universe, stars, planets, the origins and history of life, dinosaurs and mass extinctions.
What was the big bang before? What happened before it? How did the stars and planets form? What was the first life on Earth? What are mass extinctions? What causes them? And are we living in the sixth mass extinction?
The conversation gets philosophical very quickly as we start discussing metaphysics, with answers like, "There is no time before the Big Bang.", "There is space outside the universe." and "There is no such thing as nothing.".
Then we move on to the cosmos, star formation and what Carl Sagan meant when he said we are made of star stuff.
Raafae then asks the nerds about the origins, history and future of life on Earth. Were trees first? Or was it the dinosaurs? Or was it something else altogether? What is a mass extinction? How many have there been? Are we living in the sixth extinction? What is causing the sixth mass extinction? Is it climate change? Is it habitat loss?
That's pretty much 13.8 billion years covered in just over 40 minutes!
