Why can everyday life feel completely exhausting when, from the outside, nothing seems particularly difficult?
In this episode, we explore the invisible energy cost of ADHD, autism, and AuDHD and why ordinary tasks, social interactions, sensory input, decision-making, and constantly adapting to the world around you can require far more energy than others might realise.
Sometimes, the hardest part is the part nobody can see.
Whether this feels deeply familiar or gives you a new perspective on someone you know, we’re glad you’re here.
As always, this episode reflects our personal experiences and reflections as neurodivergent women. It is not intended as medical, psychological or diagnostic advice.
We hope you’ll find something in this conversation that stays with you.

Preparing for an ADHD or autism assessment can feel overwhelming.
What should you bring?
What should you remember?
And how do you make sure you communicate your experiences clearly without feeling like you have to prove anything?
In this episode, we explore how to prepare for an assessment while staying connected to your own story. We talk about reflecting on patterns, experiences, challenges, and coping strategies and why you don’t need to have all the answers before you walk into the room.
Because an assessment isn’t about presenting the “perfect” story. It’s about giving yourself the space to describe your experiences as honestly and openly as you can.
As always, this episode reflects our personal experiences and reflections as neurodivergent women. It is not intended as medical, psychological or diagnostic advice.

Waiting for an ADHD or Autism assessment can be an emotional rollercoaster. You may find yourself questioning everything - your memories, your experiences, your coping strategies, and even your reasons for seeking a diagnosis in the first place.
In this episode, we explore what it feels like to be in that space of uncertainty.
How do you deal with the waiting?
How do you make sense of your experiences while you’re still looking for answers?
And can you trust what you already know about yourself?
We share our personal experiences of navigating the time before an assessment - the questions, uncertainties, waiting, and discoveries that come with trying to understand ourselves and find answers.
As always, this episode reflects our personal experiences and reflections as neurodivergent women. It is not intended as medical, psychological or diagnostic advice.
We hope this conversation gives you something to reflect on, recognise, or simply sit with.

The journey to ADHD and/or Autism diagnosis can be filled with uncertainty, self-doubt, and difficult questions. But what if you didn’t have to wait for a diagnosis to start understanding, supporting, and trusting yourself?
We bring two different perspectives to the conversation: one of us has already received a diagnosis, while the other is currently navigating the journey towards one.
In this episode, we’re exploring the questions that often get overlooked: What does it really mean to want or need a diagnosis?
What are you hoping a diagnosis will change?
And how do you navigate self-discovery when you don’t yet have a clear answer?
Because understanding yourself doesn’t have to begin with a label. You can start listening to yourself, making sense of your experiences, and treating yourself with compassion right now.
As always, this episode reflects our personal experiences and reflections as neurodivergent women. It is not intended as medical, psychological or diagnostic advice.
We’re glad you’re here. Let’s explore this together.

You are not wrong — you are wired…
Between Us | Neurodivergent Conversations: ADHD, Autism & AuDHD
brings the real, compassionate and authentic conversations we wish we had years ago.
We are two neurodivergent mums in our 40s who found answers later in life, living on two different continents, who spent most of our lives masking Autism and ADHD — until our children’s diagnoses helped us finally understand our own neurodivergence.
Between tears and with a wink, we are navigating life, motherhood, healing from decades of misunderstanding, and rebuilding our lives in midlife.
This is a raw and deeply relatable podcast exploring the unfiltered reality of being a neurodivergent woman — discovering Autism, ADHD and AuDHD later in life, unmasking after years of hiding who we truly are, and finding a new understanding of ourselves.
Together, we unpack our stories of masking and unmasking, missed support, sensory overwhelm, burnout, anxiety, neurodivergence in women, generational patterns, the education system, parenting neurodivergent children, homeschooling, and everything connected to life as a neurodivergent family.
This isn’t expert advice — it’s lived experience.
Whether you are newly diagnosed, self-identified, parenting neurodivergent children, exploring Autism or ADHD in yourself, recovering from burnout, or wondering why everything has always felt harder — you may find comfort, answers, laughter and belonging in Between Us.
We are not medical, psychological or therapeutic professionals. Everything shared in this podcast comes from our personal experiences as neurodivergent women and mothers. Nothing you hear should be taken as professional advice, diagnosis or treatment recommendations. Everyone’s experience is different, so please always consult a qualified professional when making decisions about your health or your family.
Welcome to Between Us — honest conversations about Autism, ADHD, AuDHD, masking, burnout, motherhood and finding yourself after years of feeling different.
