Beyond Belief Podcast

In this episode, Allen and I talk about the name of God.  Why do people use it in reverence who aren't even saved?  Why do people use it in vain? And why aren't Christians using His name more to bring Him honor and glory?

As always, thanks for listening.

In this episode, Allen and I tackle a hot topic.  Salvation.  Why are so many people doubting their salvation - in churches?  Churches are perpetuating the confusion surrounding salvation and causing saved believers to doubt that they have ever been saved.  Things like knowing the date, time and place of your salvation, your behavior and preaching to your sin are just a few things churches are using to cause believers to believe they have never been saved.

This is all done in an effort to grab visitors or relocators into their membership and obtain commitment to their structure.  Salvation is a serious consideration - one that is a matter of life and death - and it should be understood.  So why do most churches wait until the end of a service to talk about the most important decision a person will ever make?  Why do we rely on six or seven verses read to someone in five minutes to solidify their salvation.  Salvation is based on faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone, by God's grace alone.  Believe on the name of Jesus Christ and you shall be saved.  Churches are making it confusing, dropping the ball afterward and using salvation as a way to develop members for their church - not the body of Christ.  If you have ever watched someone in your church claim that they weren't previously saved, after believing they were - ask yourself why?

Churches - stop planting the seeds of doubt for your own financial greed.  The Holy Spirit is the only one who confirms salvation.  Not you.

What does it mean to be a servant of the Lord?

John 12:26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.

Hebrews 12:28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

Colossians 3:24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye servethe Lord Christ.

Matthew 4:10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

You read that correctly - this is Episode 13 - being published again.  It has been listened to over 250 times.  And we still aren't sure why.

We've remastered the audio and put it back out for your listening pleasure.  It has our new Intro and Outro.

This was our thirteenth episode we recorded.  The equipment still had the tags on it, in case we had to return it.  Now the audio has been cleaned up and we decided to throw it back out here into podcast land.

We hope you enjoy hearing it again.

How many things do you know that are permanent?  The definition of permanent is something that lasts without change.  Nothing in this world is permanent, except for our salvation.  Jesus Christ IS the permanent solution.

In this episode, Allen and I talk about all the problems the world is encountering - and what the solution is.  When we talk about the problems and point people to the problems - we take our eyes off the solution.  There are masters of deception our there, especially that crafty serpent the devil.  Don't let him lure you away from God.

John 14:6 KJV

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

There is no other way - absolutely none - to receive eternal salvation except through Jesus Christ.

In this episode, Allen and I discuss the righteous men of the Bible.  Who did God call righteous?  What is the difference between righteous and just?  Is there a difference?

We will never be righteous in the eyes of God - even though we were created in His image.  Our responsibility is to glorify God and we can't do that by living for the world.  Join us as we, as usual, go all over the place while we try to stay on topic.

What is the difference between being in doctrine and indoctrination? It's HUGE !!!!!

Many churches work on convincing you that 'what they believe' focuses on the Bible.  They even include biblical references so that you will 'line-up'.

I've heard many preachers and pastors tell people 'you can check me' or 'go to your own bible', only to find the their preaching already had an objective in mind - and it wasn't from God.

This is a dangerous time in the church today.  People trust their pastors more than they trust God.  They have been indoctrinated to believe that everything the pastors says is true - CHECK YOUR BIBLES !!!!

Not everything a preacher preaches on is biblical.

In this episode, Allen and I team up with Will and Angela from the Salty Saints Podcast.  We have a great and lengthy discussion about the modern day church, or as they call it - CHURCHIANITY!

Will and Angela are going back to the roots of the church in this modern day and encouraging home-based churches. In the days when Jesus walked the earth, this is as He intended it.  A gathering, a true fellowship and an honest worship of God among believers.  It was polluted and destructed like it is today. We hope you enjoy the simplicity of the Gospel, the truth of the Good News and the raw grit of believers that are passionate for Jesus Christ. Will and Angela are a husband and wife team that live and breath their ministry in Vidor, Texas.

Here is how you can find them....
