In this episode, Sarah speaks with Dr. Cindy Meston a Canadian-American clinical psychologist well-known for her research on the psychophysiology of female sexual arousal. She is a Full Professor of Clinical Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin, Director of the Female Sexual Psychophysiology Laboratory, and author of Why Women Have Sex.

Dr. Meston is the recipient of numerous awards for her expansive research. In 2016 Meston was named one of the 100 most influential and inspirational women in the world by the BBC

She is Past President of the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH) and an active member of the International Academy of Sex Research (IASR) and the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality (SSSS).

Dr. Meston has published over 200 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters and has CO AUTHORED two books, Women’s Sexual Function and Dysfunction and Why Women Have Sex, which has been translated into nine languages. In this episode, Sarah speaks with Sarah Fox a San Antonio, Texas-based artist who creates alternative realities and dreamscapes in her work. Her multi-media narratives and characters are created from her experiences as female artist.

Stories of life, loss, sex, and love are told through human-like hybrid creatures. The resulting puppet shows, prints, drawings, and animations suggest a childlike fairytale but with an undercurrent of dark symbolism and humor.

Her work has been shown throughout Texas, as well as in the Kinsey Institute, The Field Projects Gallery in New York, Espacio Dörffi in the Canary Islands, Bedsetter Art Fair in Vienna, and Casa Lu in Mexico City.
