TRIGGER WARNING FOR MENTAL HEALTH STRUGGLES AND SUICIDE
In this episode Amy is joined by artist and emotional wellness mentor Nesha, for a powerful conversation about creativity, mental health, and what it really means to come home to yourself.
Nesha shares her deeply personal journey through bullying, disconnection, and a moment that changed everything, and how creativity quite literally saved her life. Together, they explore creativity as a birthright, the impact of societal conditioning on women and men, the cost of living out of alignment, and why play, expression, and self-trust are essential, not optional.
Nesha (pronounced Nee-sha) is the founder of Nesha Canvas Creations. She is an artist and emotional wellness mentor who enables healing through art and connection by creating safe spaces for people of all ages who may be struggling with their mental health.
Through painting workshops infused with affirmations, a creative kids club, unique fingerprint tree canvas events, market fairs, bespoke artwork, and the Vulnerable Voices podcast, Nesha inspires people to reconnect with creativity and joy.
Art pulled Nesha back from the brink of suicide, and the knowledge and insight gained through her personal experiences have shaped her life’s work. She is deeply committed to helping others find hope, healing, and connection through art, and is on a mission to extend that same sense of safety, expression, and renewal to those who may be struggling, showing that art can be a bridge back to oneself and to life.
