In this episode, Sean has some sort of weird beef about people who love dogs, cats, and hummingbirds, and Jodie pretends to care about Sean's opinions.
We hope you turn out to see the BOB team live for our next episode, and we sincerely hope you survive this one.
No dogs, cats, or hummingbirds were injured in the making of this podcast.
There's more to West Seattle, Burien, White Center, and Vashon than traffic and endless bridge repair.

One of the jewels of the Northwest is the Emerald Downs Racetrack. Situated in Auburn, Washington, with an amazing view of Mt. Rainier, it's a really fun place to spend an evening or sunny Saturday with friends and family.
The good folks of Emerald Downs gave us amazing access to record a podcast episode there: we met the horses, talked with an amazing jockey, and heard the dulcet tones of the race announcer up-close.
Have a listen, then visit the Downs for their annual Longacres Mile — the most prestigious horse race in the area — or the wiener-dog races, if dachshunds (and wiener wanna-bes) are more your style! There's plenty for the whole family to enjoy, and who knows? You could just leave with more $ than you had when you walked in!
Also, don't forget to check out the Horse Racing NW podcast with Vince Bruun and Joe Withee for all the latest goings on at Emerald Downs!

The Pacific Northwest is a very nice place to live. And apparently everyone knows it, because it's a super-hot housing market.
In this episode, your guide to All Things Northwest, Sean Crowder, speaks with brokers Emily Austin and Eric Martin of Austin & Martin, part of Metropolist, and Loan Originator Robert Jack of NFM Lending.
They talk about the do's (get into the market ASAP, know how much you can borrow before you fall in love with a house) and the don'ts (don't write a "love letter," or read one; don't wait for your "perfect" house) of buying a home in the PNW.

A new tax is soon to be introduced in Washington State — if you aren't enrolled in a private long-term care plan, your employer will need to collect an assessment from your paychecks to be added to the Long-Term Services and Supports Trust Program fund.
Many of us don't know anything about this program, but fortunately, Sean Crowder and Tina Bendermacher do!
In this episode, learn more about the LTSS Program, the benefits and drawbacks, the necessity of having a long-term care plan, and what your options are, if you're a resident of Washington State.
Tina Bendermacher is a Sales Manager at Brookdale Senior Living and an expert on senior care, both for the independent and for those who need a higher level of assistance. You can contact her for more information at 206.512.7730 or [email protected].

There's no better place to live than the Pacific Northwest, says Sean Crowder. And he should know — he's traveled the world a bunch of times, but he always comes home to the great PNW.
And now, he'd like to introduce you. Whether you come to stay or just to play, there are so many wonderful things to do and people to meet. From the mountains to the Sound, from the wineries to the microbrews, and everything in-between, we hope you'll come along on the journey.
Join Sean and his guests, every second Tuesday, wherever you listen to podcasts!
