  • Interview with Coach Craig Kolek

Coach Kolek ranks 2nd all time in victories at the D3 Level. Patrick Dorywalski of Stevens Institute of Technology has 562 career wins. Coach Kolek is at 517 victories as the Men's Volleyball Coach and 469 wins as the women's volleyball coach. • Interview with Coach Jean Bain

Jean Bain is one of the most hardworking, humble and determined people we have had on this show. Jean was a D1 talent at Medford High School, who after his senior year was diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease. Jean recovered from Cancer and played collegiately at Northeastern where he served as the team Captain his junior and senior year. Jean has coached at places such as WPI, UNH, Dartmouth, Columbia and now as the Head Coach at Brandeis University. Jean led his team Year one to an 18-11, an automatic bid into the ECAC tourney, and a league title. Jean is a tremendous coach, but even a better person. Many young basketball players in Medford looked up to him as a player at the high school, but should even look up to him more now for the man he has become. Great Listen ahead!

  • Beyond Podcast Trailer

Welcome to the Beyond Podcast with host Anthony Petrelis. Here we cover the world of high school and college coaching not only in the state of Massachusetts, but also across the country. Coaching in the high school and college worlds has become pretty much a 365 day a year job. Even when your season is over and there are no more games and practices, coaches are dedicating themselves to being a presence in the weight room everyday, going to clinics all over the place to better educate themselves and their product. Coaches are also helping players on the recruiting trail and on the personal level , while also trying to balance their families, jobs and lives as well. Coaching is NOT to about the money, but instead about the love and passion you have for the sport you coach. Coaches are true unsung heroes and deserve too be heard and tell the story of their hustle, grind, and passion.
