While he was born in the United States, through his father he has very close ties to Puerto Rico and is currently on the Puerto Rican National team. After competing internationally for the past 4-5 years, Jarod is looking to take the next big step and compete for Puerto Rico in the 2020 Summer Olympic games in Tokyo.
