Our co-hosts discuss the "Mindy Kaling Effect" on YA shows such as Never Have I Ever, and how this effect comes off onto these shows' young audience (along with some personal rants, childhood memories, and random thoughts)!

Just as a disclaimer, we are viewing the "Mindy Kaling Effect" through it's effect on POC teens such as ourselves. As we are not South Asian (much like many Mindy Kaling characters such as in NHIE), we did not want to look through it through a lens in order to be mindful and respectful of our position here.

With season 1 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians coming to an end, we figured it's time to look back on the show's reception by viewers + fans (such as ourselves!) and address our thoughts on the growing criticism of the show with its release.

Are our dreams simply just a game in our heads or something more? We spent this episode analyzing each others' dreams to see if our subconscious is sending any signals our way, and if they should be taken seriously. Is a dream really just ever "a dream"?
