Beyond the Boys Club

From humble beginnings in São Paulo, Nervosa has gained international recognition through relentless touring, powerful live shows, and critically acclaimed albums like Agony and Downfall of Mankind and Perpetual Chaos. Recent years saw a lineup change, with Luana Dametto and Fernanda Lira departing to form their own band, Crypta. But fear not, thrashers! Prika Amaral and Helena Kotina have rallied, recruiting powerhouse drummer Michaela Naydenova and are back with a vengeance. Their latest album, "Jailbreak," showcases their evolution, solidifying their status as a force to be reckoned with in the metal world.

In conversation with host Anne Erickson, Prika discusses the bands origins, how she found her voice as a singer, and what is next for Nervosa.
