He's here to talk about his role at the parish, why a liturgy is much more than just a "service" and share some practical tips about how we can better enter into the holy sacrifice of the Mass! As Catholics, we know what happened after Jesus was crucified, died, and His body taken down from the cross to be placed in a tomb. What you may not know, is what happened to that empty, bloodstained cross.
The Romans had perfected the art of a crucifixion by the time Jesus was condemned to die, but where did this gruesome method of execution come from? Why did the high priests specifically want the Romans to kill Jesus? What can we learn from Jesus' embrace of the cross?
A piece of the pinewood that Christ Himself carried to Calvary to be crucified upon will soon be on our campus, housed in the Our Lady of the Angels Chapel reliquary. Join Michael Gormley in the grand finale of our relic reveal, and learn more about how this splinter of salvation got here, and how it can inspire us to enter more fully into this Holy Week.

The Prince of the Apostles. The First Pope. The Rock upon which Jesus would build His church.
Saint Peter is mentioned a whopping 187 times in the New Testament. From the moment he first encountered Jesus the Nazarene while fishing on the Sea of Galilee, until the moment he was crucified upside down, Peter was a faithful follower of the Lord; but that's not to say he was without fault.
So many of the most powerful moments and lessons from the Bible involve Peter. He was a bold, brash, and stubborn disciple who we have much to be thankful for, and to learn from.
Join Michael Gormley as we approach the exciting conclusion to our relic reveal, with #26, our second-to-last relic, coming from a man who can help us mightily on our journey towards sanctity.
