Cleveland has had a great run these past three years.  They've been to the finals three straight times, and won one championship.  It's great for fans, the city, and seemingly everyone but Kyrie Irving.  

I think there's something to learn in this.  Patience for one.  Humility for another.  And appreciating what you've got for a third.  

This episode wraps up Summer School, and Beyond the Classroom will be taking a few weeks off.  We'll be back after Labor Day with a fresh season about how to be your best.  

There's a still, small voice inside everyone of us.  We can listen, or ignore it.  Listening can light a fire that changes the world - from everyone to those around you.  Ignoring it has the extended effect of denying passion, limiting creativity, and settling for mediocrity.  

Settling for mediocrity is not what Beyond the Classroom is about.

If your pattern is broken, you're going to have to adjust.  That adjustment can be difficult, so you may need to face it with honesty or change your reward system.  

Who wants to go to summer school?  

The question doesn't really matter; if you have to go, you have to go.  And if you have to go, you might as well make the best of it.

Little things can become big things.  

Big things can not happen because of the little things.  

The Rule of 2's is a way to think about what is big and what is little, so that you can put things in better perspective.

Mr. B was asked, "What are your three favorite books and why?"  In this episode, he answers.

Life happens in cycles.  Some things are good, some things are bad.  Often, when a new thing happens, with it comes a lot of stress and responsibility.  When we focus on that stress and responsibility, we can forget to be thankful for the thing that got us there in the first place.  So, make sure to Celebrate the Good!

If you've ever felt alone, or if you've ever wondered: does anyone else feel this way?  The answer is: Yes.  We do.  Pursue your passions, follow your habits, and they'll lead you to a place you like.  

I believe in you.  

Bad things seem to happen together.  When they do, it's easy to say, "This always happens!"  When you step back from that, you realize: it isn't always.
