Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and a Happy New Year. BTE Radio is back to kick off 2014 as we welcome Matthew Brownstein to the program this week to talk about the Star Child. It came to our attention in mid 2013 that our good friend and multi time guest Lloyd Pye was Diagnosed with aggressive B-cell lymphoma cancer. Lloyd turned over the Starchild Project to others such as Matthew Brownstein who will carry it forward with a new, fully modernized, and highly upgraded website. Due to Lloyd's untimely passing, Matthew has agreed to join us this week to discuss the latest about the Star Child Skull and to help us pay tribute to our friend Lloyd Pye.

Matthew Brownstein is the newest member of the Starchild Project Team, which has been working actively since 1999 to prove the mystery of a 900 year-old carbon dated bone skull that genetic experts and medical professionals feel could very well be another species not yet known to modern science. Matthew is the Chief Operating Officer of the Starchild Project and has joined the team to help with their fundraising efforts to raise the money to sequence the DNA of the Starchild Skull. Matthew works directly with Lloyd Pye and the entire Starchild Project Team to create more public awareness of a skull that could truly change history as we know it. Matthew is also the Executive Director of the Florida Institute of Hypnotherapy and has been in the fields of alternative therapies and alternative knowledge for over 20 years. About Kathy

Kathleen Marden is a prominent UFO abduction researcher, author and lecturer with 23 years experience in the field. She is MUFON’s Director of Abduction Research and on Starborn Support’s Board of Directors. In 2012, she was the recipient of MUFON’s “Ufologist of the Year” award.

About Nicole

Nicole has been innately interested in the paranormal since childhood. She grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada, and the house that her family resided in had its share of ghosts. One in particular was the specter of an older man who originated from the 1800s.

While attending the University of Arizona in Tucson in 2001, her beloved grandmother passed away from congestive heart failure. After attending her funeral services in San Diego, California, Nicole headed back to Tucson to pursue my senior year of college. For about two weeks after her grandmother's death, Nicole started to experience odd phenomena in my college apartment. The door knobs on my front and bedroom doors would rattle of their own volition. Mind you that her grandmother was always overly concerned with checking the doors to make sure they were locked when she was of body. Many times at night when Nicole was just about to fall asleep, she would feel the gentle caress of an invisible hand, which felt eerily familiar as if it came from a person she knew and loved. The most profound experience, however, was when Nicole would see her grandmother's apparition standing near my closet door. Nicole noticed her apparition almost every night for several days. Her apparition appeared glowing and translucent with a very familiar flowery house dress that her grandmother wore shortly before her death. Today, Nicole feels that she is of spirit and has moved on. Nicole has surmised that the experiences in her college apartment were her ways of making sure that she was okay.

These above encounters were two of several encounters that really propelled my interest in studying the paranormal. Nicole has been in the lab studying the paranormal since 1996, but in 2006, she stepped out of that lab and directly into the field of paranormal investigation, while continuing her research of course. Nicole has worked with a few Southern California-based paranormal teams since 2006. It has always been a dream of hers to develop and run her own research and investigative team and that dream came to fruition on October 3, 2009 which was the day that the San Diego Paranormal Research Society was born. Nicole founded SDPRS along with Audrey and Charles Small. SDPRS investigates private residences, businesses and historical locales. In 2008, Nicole was fortunate to have met Dale Kaczmarek and Jim Graczyk of the Ghost Research Society while attending a conference up in Oak Hurst, California. Nicole ended up buying some of Dale's and Jim's books and that is when she learned about the reknowned Ghost Research Society Press. Dale mentioned that he is always looking for new authors and Nicole expressed her interests in writing books on the paranormal. Another one of her dreams had been to write books on the paranormal and that dream also came to reality with my first book, Field Guide to Southern California Hauntings, the 8th book in the GRS Press field guide series. Nicole's second book, The Haunted Queen of the Seas: The Living Legend of the RMS Queen Mary was published in May of 2010. Her third book will soon be published. A few weeks after the conference, Dale asked if Nicole would be interested in being the Southern California Area Research Director for the Ghost Research Society and of course, sheI jumped at the chance to get to know and work with this fantastic team. Join Eric, Lon & Sean on our annual Halloween show! We've got a spooky one this year as we welcome longtime Demonologists and paranormal investigators Keith & Carl Johnson

Keith & Carl Johnson grew up in a house in Rhode Island where paranormal phenomena would occasionally occur. Those events triggered their extreme interest in the supernatural world.

In the early 1970s, when they were just teenagers, Keith and Carl attended a lecture featuring paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren at nearby Rhode Island College. Subsequently, they developed a friendship with the Warrens, which lasted for decades.

They joined a paranormal research organization at Rhode Island College, known as the Parapsychology Investigation and Research Organization (PIRO), and as it turned out, Keith's first major investigation turned out to be a case of demonic infestation. In October of 2004, Keith and his wife, Sandra, founded New England Anomalies Research (NEAR).

Keith says they founded NEAR after the Ghost Hunters series, with which they were involved for the first two seasons, became so successful, because their involvement with the show made it difficult to focus on their clients' cases — especially those of a confidential and sometime even demonic nature.

Keith often officiates when house blessings and exorcisms need to be performed for both TAPS and his own organization, NEAR. Keith still consults with TAPS as a demonologist, as well as working with fellow demonologists and associates at NEAR to help people who believe themselves to be the victims of hauntings, possession, or demonic oppression in New England.

NEAR is comprised of many former investigators from TAPS, and they have stayed true to their goal of investigating and analyzing phenomena that is suspected to be of paranormal origin. Keith and his wife Sandra co-produce a weekly cable television show calledGhosts R Near in Providence, Rhode Island, which explores the topics of ghosts, the paranormal, and hauntings.

Keith's twin brother Carl is a demonologist, too. He is also NEAR's senior investigator and alternate co-host of Ghosts R Near. He continues to explore the paranormal with his colleagues. Carl and his girlfriend Dina Palazini are the principle investigators at Beyond The Veil Paranormal. BTVP was established as a cooperative effort to penetrate some of the more elusive mysteries of humanity and the world we inhabit, to value expanding knowledge in favor of competition, and as a forum to share experiences. We interpret paranormal as that which is removed from what is contained by prevailing scientific standard.

The two brothers combine their mutual love of history and the paranormal in the tours they conduct at Slater Mill in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Using their extensive knowledge of both Slater Mill and the Blackstone Valley area, plus their unique love of all things ghostly, they host tours in this old, allegedly very haunted mill in their Paranormal Pawtucket Ghost Tours.

Shocktober continues this week as Eric, Lon and Sean take on one of the first and most notorious serial killers in American history, H.H Holmes.

We welcome Jeff Mudgett author of Bloodstains and great great grandson of Holmes to BTE Radio this week. This is a brutal and rivieting story as retold by Jeff in his book that has received world wide acclaim. The book is currently being produced into a feature film. H.H. Holmes.
