In celebration of this week's Story Cycle Concert, we're taking a look back at our first conversation with Story Cycle Artist-in-Residence, Michelle J. Rodriguez, in Season Three.  Michelle's work as a musical theatre songwriter has been featured around the country at notable theatres and programs including Portland Center Stage, Ars Nova, New York Theater Workshop, The Public Theater and many more.  At the upcoming concert on April 22, she will perform some of her work, including the debut of some new material.  The Story Cycle students she has mentored through the year will present their new works as well.   In this inspiring episode, she shares her incredible journey as an artist, what she hopes for in the future of musical theatre, and the power of reaching for a dream that aligns with your values.

We're wrapping up the Alumni Series as we catch up some of our alumni (or as we call them, our "LexFam.") Our final guest for this series is Nathan Fister. Nathan has appeared on our stage in productions of 42nd Street, Legally Blonde, The Music Man and A Chorus Line. He's been a Dance Captain and assists with our Auditions each year, and has taught in our Artist Development Program. He is also the Chair of the Inclusivity Advisory Collective and sits on our Board of Directors. In this insightful episode, we discuss the beautiful moments where The Lex has pointed the way forward for Nathan on his journey. We're continuing the Alumni Series as we catch up some of our alumni (or as we call them, our "LexFam.") Today we're chatting with, Daxx Jayroe from our productions of Legally Blonde, The Music Man and A Chorus Line. Daxx also serves on our Inclusivity Advisory Collective and they are a trans non-binary third generation Lebanese American, Oklahoma City University musical theatre graduate, and New York City transplant. Daxx shares many amazing milestones on their creative journey, including a touching and pivotal moment at The Lex where they finally felt the freedom to be themselves on stage.

Today we're chatting with, Kendyl Ito who played Connie in our 2018 "A Chorus Line" and serves in our Inclusivity Advisory Collective.
