In the Household of God (Eph. 2:19), the Church is the Bride. The Bible also annotates designations for other ecclesiastical groups such as Jews under the Law, Gentiles before the Law, Gentiles under the Law, etc... The wisdom Paul prays for Christians to have in Chapter 1, includes understanding where and how the Bride fits into the household. Israel is not the Bride. This issue is crucially important for a Christian to understand. It demonstrates why replacement theology cannot be true. It shows why so-called reformed theology doesn't have a leg to stand on. And it helps the believer understand the right soteriological, ecclesiastical, and eschatological divisions in scripture.
