Special guest Clinton Jones joins us on the 12th episode of Beyond the Game Podcast. Mentor and friend, Clinton has been a light for me since the day we met. Native of Cleveland, Ohio, Clinton was a dual sport athlete participating in track and football. Ultimately, football was the path he wanted for his life and pursed that aspiration by  attending Michigan State University as a running back. National Champion and All American accolades, Clinton was drafted in the first round of the 1967 NFL Draft to the Minnesota Vikings. Currently in chiropractic industry, he now resides in California with his beautify family and desires to give back to the youth by providing encouragement and uplift.

Special guest Trae Waynes joins us on the 11th Beyond the Game Podcast episode. Cornerback for the Cincinnati Bengals, Trae was drafted 11th overall by the Minnesota Vikings back in the 2015 NFL draft. Before being drafted, I had the chance of watching him grow as a football player, friend and a man. Both a family man and a business man, Trae has continued to elevate his game on and off the field. I brought my parents back one more time for a part two to discuss us three and what the transition from undergrad to graduate school was like. How was this transition for parents? What was learned from this experience? How we can maximize all opportunities presented to us. Another deep conversation that touches on Ahmaud Arbery, religion and a few gems on mindset too.

In honor of our fallen soldier, Ahmaud Arbery, I had to switch up my plans on posting to give my opinion on the situation. As well as pay my respects to the Arbery family and the community that stood behind them. Bob Marley and The Wailers - Buffalo Soldier inspired this flow and I will go further with that in the podcast. Got current sports and entertainment news as well, let us get to it!

I always express to people the importance of foundation to me. It has a lot to do with my upbringing and how I go about my daily life. The foundation for me starts with my parents, Andre and Alida.
