James has often described his dream state as a full-length motion picture that he could continue from night tonight. He could escape nightmares from within the dream and control the outcomes. It had been his opinion that everyone could do this.

From his time as a junior constable to a senior investigator of organized crime, James has had experiences he could not explain, with both the freshly dead to those long ago passed.

When interviewing a suspect at length he found he connected deeply with the individual’s life. He could place himself in the position of the suspect in his or her life where the decision was made to commit the offense.

In the fall of 2012, James was identified as an “Empath” by a psychic medium. In his study of Empaths, he found the answers to his connections with clientele victims and offenders over the years. This helped him to put into perspective and understand the dreams, images, and other spiritual experiences that he had experienced as a child and later as a police officer.

As a paranormal investigator, he was thinking he was the “skeptic” who would interview clients to assess their concerns. But after his second investigation where he had the unique experience of having a conversation with a disembodied woman, well, he could no longer be skeptical.

James now finds himself on a mission to identify other Empaths, in the hopes that the understanding of themselves will open their minds to their potential. His proven methodology has helped numerous people discover themselves as James himself becomes more in tune with his spirit.

He has interviewed and utilized internationally known psychics to confirm his and his audiences’ experiences. Along with starting this podcast website and traveling for answers to all things paranormal, James is researching his first book about his life as an Empath, Police Officer, and Intuitive.

James presently hosts a series of paranormal documentaries. He frequently travels throughout North America attending paranormal conferences both to interview attendees as well as speak at events.

Dr. Burkes is a retired internal medicine physician having completed 30 years of service for the Southern California Permanente Medical Group. He has been a volunteer UFO investigator since 1992 working with, the Center for the Study of ET Intelligence (CSETI), the Peruvian network of contact workers known as Rahma, MUFON and FREE, The Foundation for Research into ET and Extraordinary Experiences(FREE). With researcher Preston Dennett, he is co-author of a chapter on UAP associated medical healings published in the FREE compendium “Beyond UFOs”. He has also co-authored “Paths to Contact” edited by Jeff Becker.

In the 1990s he volunteered as a Working Group Coordinator for Dr. Steven Greer’s Close Encounters of the Fifth Kind Initiative. In that capacity he had numerous Human Initiated Contact Experiences (HICE) popularly known as CE-5s. Although Dr. Burkes left CSETI more than 20 years ago, he has continued to promote the worldwide efforts of the network of activists that he calls “The Contact Underground.” Dr. Burkes’ blogs that appear on Facebook focus on the mechanisms of contact. These include the Virtual Experience Model that describes the role of illusion during close encounters and the intelligence-counterintelligence model for UFO investigations. This model for engaging UFO intelligences is based on the assessment that flying saucers threaten all terrestrial elites, but not necessarily the Earth’s peoples. Dr. Burkes is a graduate of Tufts University School of Medicine. He resides in California with his wife Yael, four small dogs and a 110-year-old desert tortoise named Moishe.
