  • BTV Ep342 Link (1986) & Monkey Shines (1988) Reviews 9_4_23
We are back from Christina's Birthday week and we ain't monkey'n around... Well kind of.. It's an episode full of Monkey's really. This week we review a couple of films starring a few angry monkeys that murder... Starting with a movie called LINK (1986) about a circus Orangutan monkey that is getting pretty old and aggressive. When the Professor who hires a young student to look after him disappears. It's up to Jane (Elizabeth Shue) to make it out alive from LINK's "The Master of Fire". Then we get into our own MONKEY SHINES (1988) by George A. Romero. A movie about a man named Alan who's recently been disabled with Quadriplegia. When a close friend decides to gift him one of his Capuchin lab monkeys high on human DNA to help around the house. Things... or rather humans start to end up dead. Especially when they anger Alan. Is there a connection? Can Alan, a quadriplegic stop the madness before everyone he knows ends up dead? We dive into all of this hairy madness this week chock full of our special blend of bad humor and laughter. You won't want to miss an episode. EVER AGAIN! Join us!

  • BTV Ep340 Marytrs (2008) v. Martyrs (2015) Reviews 8_21_23
It's time to jump into some French Horror of the Extreme variety and compare it to its United States Remake. The Court is in session for Martyrs (2008) v. Martyrs (2015). Though the movie was filmed in Canada the first film is considered a French film that has taken the film industry by storm when it released for being shocking and hard to watch. About a girl named Lucie who escapes her torturing kidnappers and exacts her revenge on the those who tormented her as a child with a friend that is willing to got to hell for her. It's a rough film for some, but we actually break it all down and Alex gets deep into the metaphors that the film might have within its depravity. Then we take on the US remake/re imagining that was one of the earlier films of Blumhouse and subsequently one of Jason Blum’s biggest regrets on film. See what we thought of both and why. In this glorious showdown! JOIN US!

  • BTV Ep339 The Dark Lurking (2009) & Future Fear (2021) Reviews 8_14_23
Pheewww this week is a doozy! Not only do we have some odd films for you, but we have one of the darkest HAPPY MONDAY segments we have done. Alex steps past the point of taste (per usual) on this one. Then we jump into our reviews with some random Indie Sci-Fi Horror movies from Amazon Prime.. THE DARK LURKING (2009) about a distant future when an underground bunker is researching a dark secret dealing with gene splicing that ends up turning the entire underground population into grotesque creatures. It's up to an extraction team to pull the survivors out to safety before it's too late. Chock full of gore, bad dubbing and nods to other.. better films. Then we jump into a Sci-Fi Horror Anthology that is super budget called FUTURE FEAR (2021). Unlike the cover the story involves some sort of team of explorers from the future who find an ancient tome similar to the Necronomicon only with stories from current times about the future. It's chock full of homemade film making that is creative and a little too ambitious for it's budget. But we do our best.

Then we jump into another review with THE ACCURSED (2022) which is from the Director of Willy's Wonderland. This time trying his hand at Demonic horror. When a girls mother passes she is faced with getting a job caretaking for another woman in a coma with a very dark and connected past. IT's much darker than she would ever consider. JOIN US! • BTV Ep336 The Hidden (1987) & The Hidden II (1993) Reviews 7_17_23
This week on BTV we went for a pair of movies about buddy cops, Aliens & terrible love stories. That's right we are talking about The Hidden Franchise. Some may not even know this, but there was an actual sequel to the film THE HIDDEN (1987). The first movie stars Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks, Showgirls) Who is a "FBI" agent alien named Gallagher. He is hunting down a criminal alien that is hellbent on using bodies for their little joyride adventures in murder and excess. He teams up with Officer Beck for fun and antics on the streets of LA! Then we review the sequel that exchanges buddy cops to a love story with ravers & of course those pesky aliens. Turns out the alien that got exploded laid eggs and its up to Gallagher’s alien hunting back up to stop the crazed alien disaster from killing and galivanting again while he falls in love with the Officer Becks daughter 15 years later. We packed this episode with a lot of bad humor and laughs. JOIN US!
