In August of 2021, John Lynch released his debut album ‘City Stars’, which received national airplay and Hot Press claimed “further establishes John as one of the countries most promising singer-songwriters”.

Since then, the last 18 months have been anything but quiet. He continued to gather momentum by selling out the Sugar Club, as well as selling out his UK dates. Previously, John shared the bill with the likes of Christy Moore, Jerry Fish, Mary Coughlan and more, which reflects the level of talent he possesses.

2023 is looking to continue this trend with a string of singles, his new EP and further live dates and festival appearances.

Shadows of the Acropolis: Volume II

By

Richard C. Lyons

PUBLIUS SPECIAL GUEST: Richard C. Lyons, author of The DNA of Democracy and Shadows of the Acropolis.

The DNA of Democracy

An American Poet takes a novel look at Democracy through a series of essays in “The DNA of Democracy.” The author visits upon democracy’s rare occurrences in history, from its western origins in Athens and Rome, to its long evolutional growth in England, and the utterly unique establishment of democracy in America, where the combined influences of the Amerindian’s view of life, some revolutionary old world philosophers and a generation of rebel, warrior poets wrought an unprecedented nation!

Shadows of the Acropolis

Do you wonder why, as a citizen, it seems that you are no longer represented? Do you wonder why half the nation is incensed no matter who is the President? Do you wonder why the nation feels so politically divided? Do you wonder why people in this country are polarized and enmity between each side is on the rise? Do you wonder why people in the media speak in many tongues providing different “truths?” Do you wonder why our politics have become a matter of name calling, closed-door maneuverings and political persecutions rather than a matter of respectful debate between parties of mutual respect and good intent? Do you wonder why we seem to be reaching for solutions, not through democratic processes, but through intrigue, hatred and violence? You have the right book in your hands right now - As we must set about to actually “know” our nation as she is… at this pivotally important moment
