BGM: Bad Gay Movies = Bitchy Gay Men

It’s a romantic comedy without romance or comedy…HOW SUBVERSIVE! Bil had so much trouble paying attention to this San Francisco-set film that he kept talking about New York, but Dan and special guest Phil Skala are there to help keep him in line as they discuss All The Others Were Practice by Brian Tolle

We’re suckers for a celebrity encounter, so when the fabulous Illeana Douglas tweeted us about this movie, we just had to do it (and we thank her for it).  If you haven’t done so yet, make sure you read her recent publication I Blame Dennis Hopper. PLUS!  Michael, Bil and Dan are joined by Alicia Douglas as they talk about Second Serve by Anthony Page.

SIDE BAR! Don’t worry, we haven’t abandoned our mission, but gays DO love the Oscars. Dan and Bil are joined by very esteemed guest, NOW magazine columnist Glenn Sumi, for a discussion on the Oscars, why we love them, how we feel about the nominees and what we think (or hope) will win.

WE’RE BACK! We had such a lovely break, and now we’re ready for more madness, and we had such a fun time getting together again. Thanks to Dave Cave for the recommendation as Michael, Bil and Dan are back together to review the film Chicks Dig Gay Guys by Nathan Appfel

MERRY CHRISTMAS!  HAPPY HANUKKAH!  and Everything In Between! We love this time of year, and we couldn’t wait to get together over a cup of hot cocoa and a total piece of shit movie.  Join Bil, Michael and Daniel as they Make The Yuletide Gay by Rob Williams

We had a great letter from William Madison, the author of a book Dan recommended on Madeline Kahn, and he very kindly gave us this month’s BGM! Mikey was passed out under the bar the night we recorded, so Daniel and Bil have a sober but enlightening conversation about the nearly forgotten early eighties classic Happy Birthday, Gemini by Richard Benner

A BGM FIRST:  There is a straight man in our midst.  We believe in being kind to our inferiors. Bil was joined by the hosts of the Deep Space Nine podcast Raktajino & Root Beer, Matthew and Michael, for this week’s episode of BGM.  Join them as they discuss Those People by Joey Kuhn

We’re going Live Via Satellite! I had to reach out all the way to Chicago to find people who were willing to watch this one, so join me as I talk to Enzo And Dave from That One Movie podcast as we discuss The Seminarian by Joshua Lim

We’re not camping this time, we’re staying at a cabin! That should mean increased comfort, except someone among the group of people stranded by three minutes of rain might be a killer.  Or are they all just crazy?  It’s like Key Largo with a cock shot. Bil and Dan are joined by director Andrew Lamb and writer Robert Watson for a look at The Flight of the Cardinal by Robert Gaston.
