BGM: Bad Gay Movies = Bitchy Gay Men

It’s Token Straight Man month and Bil couldn’t be more excited to have his fellow podcaster and dear friend Marco Timpano, host of The Insomnia Project, on the show to Italian-splain the 2018 comedy My Big Gay Italian Wedding by Alessandro Genovesi.

It’s another example of Gay Vs God, but the higher power in this case is the magnificent Judith Light. Bil and Daniel watch Chad Allen in Save Me and you’re going to want to know what they think.

The first time we at BGM ever felt like real somebodies was when actor and star extraordinaire Mark Cirillo appeared on the show to take a drubbing for his magnificent career, and we couldn’t be more excited to have him back! Mark joined us to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of The Last Straight Man by Mark Bessenger.

If you follow the exquisite actor and singer James Gibson-Bray on the socials, you’ll know that there’s no one better suited to a discussion of the TV movie that brought Ann-Margret and Julie Andrews to talk about the most serious health crisis of the 1980s.

New episode! If you’re searching the universe for rock music to take to your planet, it stands to reason that you come to a town where Pia Zadora is dancing to New Wave. Anders Yates returns to BGM’s delight to talk with Bil about the cult classic (?) VOYAGE OF THE ROCK ALIENS!

We got our dear friend Matthew Harris back on the show and he wanted to get back in the loop with the one and only Bianca Del Rio! Bil, Daniel and Matthew watch Hurricane Bianca: From Russia With Hate and compare it to the original classic.

An Oscar-winning director, a stacked cast and a runaway hit of a debut novel…what could go wrong? Everything! Glenn Close plays wise old maid to a breathy, teenaged forty year-old Meryl in The House of the Spirits and we couldn’t talk about it without the help of the one and only Mr. Mark O’Donovan (aka Dublin Zoetrope).

Betteheads will want to hear us give the Divine Miss M her due for surviving one of the biggest disasters of the eighties, Jinxed! Bil had the pleasure of sitting down with the hosts of the Fish Jelly podcast, Joseph Robinson and Nicholas Bell, to get their reactions to finally seeing the film directed by the legendary Don Siegel.
