I am the Mother of the Clean Beauty Movement. Join me. ~TrinaI started Primal Life Organics because I had a mission in my heart to share what I had discovered about the toxic ingredients in skincare products.
My story started after suffering a miscarriage at 7 weeks. My husband and I were devastated - and this tragic event sent me on a journey to find out how my unborn baby could have been exposed to such deadly toxic ingredients.
As a registered nurse, I swore to "do no harm" and thought I could trust the products in the marketplace that were marketed as “natural” and “organic”. But as I looked at the ingredients in most skincare products, I knew that they were causing harm and slowly killing us. I realized that a body under the influence of chemicals and toxins becomes tox-sick and cannot function normally. I wanted to disrupt Big Cosmo and expose their lies. I wanted to be a leader in the health-conscious movement and help all of the other trusting consumers out there not suffer the way I had with the loss of my baby.
My mission was, and still is today, to create skin-food filled with vitamins, nutrients, essential fatty acids, and antioxidants. I understand the importance of a healthy diet to maintain a healthy body. I know that the skin is the largest organ, and feeding it toxins, chemicals, and artificial ingredients daily will pollute the body, cause stress and inflammation, and ultimately lead to disease and un-beauty.
If I feed my body real food, I should also use skincare made from food ingredients.
Primal Life Organics is the original "Paleo Skincare" company. In 2012, it was a new category in personal care products. It speaks to people looking to unify their oral and skin diet. People who value health and wellness as a way to prevent or eliminate disease. People who understand that the toxins in personal care products are directly linked to cancer, heart disease, Alzheimer's, diabetes, infertility, pre-term labor, obesity, thyroid disease, and more.
And then, years after I started Primal Life Organics, another significant event happened. My dentist discovered my 2 year old daughter had a “natural” cavity. He wanted to pull the tooth - but as a nurse - I knew how this would affect her tooth meridians (connections between her teeth and internal organs).
I am a problem solver, a fighter, and a rebel with a cause. Because of my experience with natural ingredients formulating my skincare products, I started researching the work of Dr. Weston A. Price, whose work showed that you CAN heal a cavity naturally.
Through many iterations, I had perfected a formula that healed my daughter’s cavity naturally, and later became our best selling Dirty Mouth Toothpowder.
Primal Life Organics grew rapidly because no other skincare companies created products from food. Our products work because they remove the "toxic overload" stress on the body. They help allow the body to function normally to mitigate toxins and remain healthy.
