Why is dishonour worse than death?
In the 34th verse of chapter 2 of Bhagavad Gita for happiness, Lord Krishna continues to talk about why Arjuna should fight this battle. He insists that Arjuna will only get fame from this battle — but if he does not fight this war — they will just talk about dishonour and disrespect for him. And according to Krishna, there is nothing worse than dishonour for a Kshatriya.
