Why does Arjuna want to live by begging?

In the 5th verse of Chapter 2 of Bhagavad Gita for happiness, Arjuna says that he would prefer begging rather than attacking and facing his elders on the battlefield. The elders' unfair attitude had led to a disrespectful demeanour, but they were still the family and elders of Arjuna. Hence, he felt that it is best to beg rather than go ahead with this war.
