Dr Pt Lokesh Maharaj speaks to Veena Lutchman on Bhakti Sangeeth on the pre Deepawali observances that lead Deepavali

The 29 September 2023 marks the observance of Pitr Paksh and Mahalay Paksham for many Hindus. Veena Lutchman interviewed Dr Pt Lokesh Maharajh on this observance. Pt Lokesh is the Chair of the Purohit’s Council of the South African Hindu Maha Sabha and he is also an academic at UKZN.

The month long observance of Purtassi commences on 18 September 2023 and concludes on 17 October 2023. Guru Kribba Vayapuri joined Veena Lutchman on Bhakti Sangeeth for a special discourse on this month long dedication to Lord Venketeshwara.

Ganesh Chaturthi is observed on 18 September for the year 2023. Pt Dr Lokesh Maharaj joined Veena Lutchman on Bhakti Sangeeth on the 17 September 2023, with a discourse on Ganesh Chaturthi.

Swami Vedanand Saraswathi, Spiritual Head of Arya Samaaj South Africa and Convenor of the Sanyaasa Spiritual Council of South Africa shared a very special message on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan and how it should be celebrated  in a South African context .

 Swami Aryavesh, President of the Arya Samaaj  Worldwide, was interviewed on Bhakti Sangeeth by Veena Lutchman. Swamiji spoke about the Ayra Samaaj at an international level and also spoke about women in the Vedas on the occasion of women’s month

Bhakti Sangeeth pays tribute to Swami Shivananda Saraswathi on the occasion of his 99th Sanyasa Anniversary.  This is in collaboration with the Divine Life Society

On the occasion of Ramayan Week, Chaitra Navrathri and Ram Naumi, Pt Dr Lokesh Maharaj shared a special discourse on the said observances on Bhakti Sangeeth, 26 March 2023. Bhakti Sangeeth is produced and presented by Dr Veena Lutchman.

Holi is a festival that has great spiritual significance. Although it is the welcoming of Spring in India, it is also celebrates the triumph of good over evil. Pt Dr Lokesh Maharaj of the South African Hindu Maha Sabha presented a discourse on  Holi on Bhakti Sangeeth on  5 March 2023. Bhakti Sangeeth is presented by Veena Lutchman. I trust that this works.
