Join me as we go through Acts 5 where two members of the early church drop dead.  Satan enters the scene for the first time through the followers of Jesus and Peter is on fire for the truth and the Gospel as more than ever Believers were added to the Lord, both men and women.  Signs and wonders continued as Peters' shadow walked by the sick and demon- possessed and they were healed!  As the Apostles are once again brought before the hypocritical leaders of their time and persecuted for their faith they continue to rise up and fear God more than man.

In Acts 6 & 7 we see the first seven chosen to serve in the church as the Apostles are committed to prayer and preaching the Gospel.  Stephen is accused of blasphemy as he proclaims the truth about the past of Israel and their denial of Jesus as their Messiah.  But Stephen is full of faith and power and has the face of an angel as he stands firm in his call to share the Good News of Jesus Christ to all who have ears to listen.  Stephen is stoned to death for his faith but he sees Jesus standing at the righ hand of God ready to receive him.
