This week we chat about Luke 21, a widow who gave all that she had, and we sample and review @suntorywhisky “Toki”
Luke 21 opens with Jesus standing in the temple watching the rich toss their gifts into the collection box. Then a poor widow came by and dropped in two small copper coins.
Jesus said, “This poor widow has given more than all the rest of them combined. For they have given a little of what they didn't need, but she, as poor as she is, has given everything she has.”
These four short verses are such a powerful reminder for us to give of what we have. Whether we've been blessed financially, have various skills or talents, or even if we are down to our last two pennies like the widow… we all have something we can give to help others.
Even if we don't have the financial means to be able to help someone, it only takes a moment to be kind. Take time to be kind.
The word “Toki” means “time” in Japanese and the Suntory Toki is a clear gold whisky that blends the old with the new. Familiar flavors and age-old traditions, blended with new techniques that bring bright notes of green apple, and an extremely smooth finish of vanilla, oak, and ginger. It’s delicious neat, or over ice with a splash of sparkling water.
