  • TRUE LOVE WOULD PROTECT SARAH, BUT PSEUDO LOVE BETRAYS HER
True love would protect Sarah, but pseudo love betrays her.
    Wednesday, March 4, 2009
    1. Abraham is willing to betray category two love as the means of saving his own life.
    2. True category two love would protect Sarah but pseudo love betrays her.
    3. At this time, Abraham is a traitor to Sarah, not her lover and not her protector.
    4. Abraham would use Sarah’s beauty to gratify his own lust and then turn around and betray her by exposing her to the lust of others.
    5. You cannot truly love someone else and think more of your own life than you do of theirs.
    6. One of the great things in category two love is to think more of someone else’s life than you do of your own.
    7. Flattery is the facade of pseudo love.
    8. No real man and no gentlemen would ever compromise a woman to gratify his own lust for survival.
    9. Selfishness destroys capacity for love, capacity for life, capacity for happiness.
    10. If a person thinks more of themselves than they do of doctrine, then they will think more of themselves than they do of others they allegedly love.
    “Saw” - qal imperfect - raah - way-yir’u =
    to stare.
They indicated that Egyptian women, by way of contrast, were generally ugly and faded early!
    “The woman” - “eth-ha’ishshah” -
with the definite article in front of the word ishshah = “What a woman”
    “Meodh ki-yaphah” = extremely beautiful.
But this time they said “meodh ki-yaphah,”
    “meodh ki-yaphah,”
    “meodh ki-yaphah.”
This is no verb here and the absence of the verb in the Hebrew emphasizes “meodh ki-yaphah” - extreme beauty.
    1. There is nothing wrong with a woman being beautiful.
    2. Sarah’s magnificent feminine beauty and glamour was never criticized as being worldly, unspiritual, or dishonoring to the Lord.
    3. Generally, a beautiful Christian woman is the object of much jealousy, vindictiveness, pettiness, and criticism.
ISA 3:9 “The expression of their faces bears witness against them.”
PRO 30:13 “There is a kind - oh how lofty are their eyes! And their eyelids are raised in arrogance.”
    4. There is nothing wrong with beauty unless beauty is accompanied by vanity and arrogance.
    5. Beautiful women are often maligned, judged, slandered, and victims of gossip because of the pettiness of others.
    6. Women are often ugly because they envy the beauty of other women.
    7. One reason why other women hate beautiful women is found in this context, “meodh ki-yaphah, meodh ki-yaphah, meodh ki-yaphah;” the men all admire a beautiful woman.
    8. If women would forget about comparing themselves with other women they would discover that in the advance of doctrine they are no longer ugly.
2CO 10:12 For we are not bold to class or compare ourselves with some of those who commend themselves; but when they measure themselves by themselves, and compare themselves with themselves, they are without understanding.
1CO 15:10 “But by the grace of God I am what I am,”
JER 5:3 But they refused to take correction. They have made their faces harder than rock; They have refused to repent.
NAH 2:10 She is emptied! Yes, she is desolate and waste! Hearts are melting and knees knocking! Also anguish is in the whole body, And all their faces are grown pale.
    9. Beautiful women, like all ladies, must be protected.
    10. If we start with the premise that all women are stupid about men, then there’s hope for the woman becoming smart about males.

  • THE ABILITY OF SARAH TO OVERCOME HER WIMPY HUSBAND
The ability of Sarah to overcome her wimpy husband.
    Sunday, March 1, 2009
The ability of this fantastic woman to overcome two areas of mental attitude sins is the reason why the promise of verse 9 is fulfilled.
    She overcame jealousy and bitterness.
She finally attained spiritual maturity. This speaks volumes for her greatness and for her persistence, and for the fact that she continued day in and day out to take in doctrine in spite of reverses and failures of all kind.
Bethel represents the place of receiving doctrine and growing in God’s word.
The Negev represents a place of neglect of doctrine.
    Egypt represents rejection of doctrine.
This is a picture of the believer retreating and not advancing.
HEB 10:38 But My righteous one [the mature believer] shall live by means of doctrine; And if he shrinks back, My soul has no pleasure in him.
Abraham had rejected doctrine and is now trying his own plans, his own schemes, and his resources and they are zilch....and Sarah was affected because of this decision.
Abraham is going to Egypt which is the place of human viewpoint, of human function without God, the place of sublimation, escape and the place of total failure for the believer.
ISA 30:1-2 ”Woe to the rebellious children,” declares the Lord, “Who execute a plan, but not Mine, And make an alliance, but not of My Spirit, In order to add sin to sin; Who proceed down to Egypt, Without consulting Me, To take refuge in the safety of Pharaoh, And to seek shelter in the shadow of Egypt!”
This instability in Abraham’s life also leads to instability in his action and in his marriage and relationship with Sarah.
Do not be shocked at what believers do when they get into backsliding or reversionism, their entire life-style changes.
Egypt is the place of weakness, cowardice, deception, and failure. The closer you get to Egypt or the world the more confused you become in your thinking.
Irrationality characterizes the believer in reversionism and the more irrational you become, the more divisive you become in your thinking.
Sarai or Sarah was one of the most beautiful women in the world and you don’t take the most beautiful woman in the world down to Egypt or the world and just simply abandon her.
He admired her beauty in Ur of the Chaldees.
He admired her beauty in Haran,
He admired her beauty in Canaan,
He admired her beauty in the Negev.
But now he’s coming to Egypt representing the world and all of a sudden this beauty that he has enjoyed day in and day out...., this beauty that he has treasured and has been a pleasure to him, suddenly becomes a great danger.
At this time Sarah’s respect for her husband has to be at an all time low.
Abraham the man is disappearing and Abraham the wimp is coming on the scene.
He ran from the famine in Canaan which was nothing more than a test.
His appreciation for Sarah is gone and this is another obstacle that she will have to overcome in order to become a mature believer.
The phrase “see now” is a word used to get her attention, you see he doesn’t have her attention. The word is hinneh-na which means “to behold” or “listen to me please.”
It’s a demonstrative adverb used as an interjection.
A pre-occupied man loses the attention of his woman.
“Yadha-atti ki ishshah yephath-mar-eh att” translated “I know that you are a woman of great beauty or a beautiful woman.”
Look out when he becomes this polite after being preoccupied with himself.
Sarah had to learn to deal with this.
And she did, and that’s why she made God’s hall of fame.
She reached spiritual maturity and visible heroship so much so that her name is written down in the word of God which in 1PE 1:25 abides forever.
She never stops being neat, clean, and well groomed and she makes the most of what she has, which, at this time, was more than almost any other woman in the world.
Abraham is given her a compliment that is true but it’s a front for his cowardice.
He is now setting this beautiful woman up for a proposal which reveals his cowardice, his weakness and his lack of manliness.
He anticipates trouble before trouble comes.
In the gaps where doctrine had departed from his soul, he has imagination, and anticipates all the problems, all the difficulties, and of course this is the way cowards live.
Sarah is married to a coward.
And she still became a mature believer.
Abraham will learn that it isn’t what the Egyptians see that counts, it’s what the Lord saw in eternity past and what He did about it.
The believer going to Egypt or back to the world’s system of thinking becomes frightened, he is very insecure regarding his own life, and therefore he is going to sacrifice all of those around him to protect himself.
He has pulled away from the real source of security, the real source of blessing, and he has no courage or integrity, he came all the way up the maturity barrier and then he crashed and burned.
The believer is two different people depending on his attitude toward doctrine.
He is noble with honor and integrity when he is positive.
But when he is negative then he is a weak coward wimpy type just as Abraham.
The beauty of Sarah which Abraham has enjoyed so much has now become a source misery.
He always emphasized her beauty and he has yet to penetrate her real beauty and see what her soul is like.
Abraham has turned into a scheming, lying, cowardly conspirator.
Abraham is weak and he is appealing to the strength of Sarah.
The weak in attacking the strong always appeals to the strength of the strong.
When a strong person attacks a weak person, he appeals to their weakness.
When a weak person attacks a strong person, he appeals to their strong point.
At this stage she is in love with Abraham and she will do anything for him, that’s her strong point.
Therefore, Abraham uses Sarah’s love to save his own miserable life and to sacrifice her to the sexual lust of the Pharaoh.
Sarah is a nag but she loves Abraham madly.
Therefore, love is her strength and Abraham appeals to her love.
Abraham is begging Sarah for his life instead of using his life to protect her.
But Abraham has permitted Egypt to eclipse God from his view and Abraham says the Egyptians will murder me.
But God says, “I will make you a great nation.”
Abraham says, “They will murder me.”
God says, “I will make you a great nation.”
He doesn’t have any children yet so either God is lying or his fears are unrealistic.”
To trust God with your whole life and then not to trust Him with one circumstance is irrationality and inconsistency.
“Please say” is the qal imperative of amer which is “imri-na.”
GEN 12:13 ”Please say that you are my sister”
    This is half-true.
It is a half-true which is really the most evil, heinous, odious, atrocious lie.
To save his life Abraham wants to get rid of his wife.
Selfishness and self-centeredness rob the believer of honor and integrity.
Fear destroys love and turns the believer into a selfish monster whose willing to sacrifice anyone for his own survival.
Sarah may feel complimented but, in reality, she is being used by someone that she loves but someone who loves himself so much that there’s no love left over for her.
An insecure and frightened person will always try to use you.
Sarah thinks that Abraham loves her as she is to be sacrificed to the sex lust of a heathen king.
    5. You cannot truly love someone else and think more of your own life then you do of theirs.
    6. One of the great things in category two love is to think more of someone else’s life then you do of your own.
    7. Flattery is the facade of pseudo love.
    8. No real man and no gentlemen would ever compromise a woman to gratify his own lust for survival.
    9. Selfishness destroys capacity for love, capacity for life, capacity for happiness.
    10. If a person thinks more of themselves then they do of doctrine, then they will think more of themselves then they do of others they allegedly love.

  • BITTERNESS DESTROYS RELATIONSHIPS, MARRIAGES, FRIENDSHIPS AND CHURCHES
Bitterness destroys relationships, marriages, friendships and churches.
    Friday, February 27, 2009
The basic word for bitterness in the Old Testament is
“Marah” which means angry discontentment, angry frustration.
    They flunked the
    “too much water test”
at the Red Sea when they freaked out.
Now they are going to flunk the
    “wrong kind of water test,”
they had plenty of water but the wrong kind.
The tree represents to us promises from God, doctrinal rationales, and it represents a divine command.
Just as the tree was cast into the bitter water, making it sweet, so the Lord Jesus Christ heals the bitterness in those who invite His presence into their soul through residual doctrine.
Bitterness is also said to be a blasphemy, one that was uttered by Job beginning in the last phrase of JOB 9:17where Job was complaining.
JOB 9:17b-18 “He [God] multiplies my wounds without a cause. God will not allow me to get my breath, but saturates me with bitterness.”
In JOB 21:25 Job finally woke up and said,
“while another dies with a bitter soul, never tasting anything good.”
    Bitterness produces complaining,
JOB 7:11.....”Therefore, I will not restrain my mouth; I will speak in the anguish of my spirit, I will complain in the bitterness of my soul.”
Complaining people have a source, it’s a sinful source, and it becomes an evil source. All people who habitually complain are bitter people.
Complaining is simply an outward effect of an inward sin, and that inward sin is the sin of bitterness.
JOB 10:1, “I loathe or I am sick of life; I will give full vent to my complaint; I will speak in the bitterness of my soul.”
    Bitterness destroys relationships, courtships,
    marriages, friendships,
and most of all, it destroys churches.
In verse 6, all of this comes because their thoughts in their heart are deep or as the Hebrew says
    “amoq” = exceedingly mysterious.
There comes a time when God will vindicate His people, and when He does it will be realized by those who have enough humility to recognize what God has done.
    HEB 12:15 See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God. That no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by it many be defiled;
Two wrongs do not make a right,
But God’s grace and God’s love still reaches out, JOB 3:20 “Why is light given to him who suffers, and life to the bitter of soul”
Sarah had to deal with bitterness just like Hannah did in 1SA 1:10.
She finally attained that status, and this speaks volumes for her greatness and for her persistence and for the fact that she continued day in and day out to take in doctrine in spite of reverses and failures of all kind.

  • BITTERNESS IS A VERY SERIOUS SPIRITUAL PROBLEM
Bitterness is a very serious spiritual problem.
    Thursday, February 26, 2009
HEB 11:11 By means of doctrine resident in the soul even Sarah herself.
One of the main manifestations of spiritual growth is a decrease in bitterness.
Every believer who does not have a personal relationship with God is a walking bombshell ready to explode at any moment.
When you allow the missile of bitterness to explode, you always hurt your own life.
If you harbor bitterness you have a very serious spiritual problem.
A problem which is not correctable apart from personal love for God, and impersonal love for all mankind.
Bitterness paralyzes life; love empowers it.
Bitterness sours life; love sweetens it.
Bitterness sickens life; love heals it.
Bitterness blinds life; love anoints its eyes.
Once the believer uses his own volition to allow bitterness, anger and jealousy to control him, he shatters his own life.
Bitterness refers to animosity, jealousy, hostility, and is actually a part of anger and harshness.
It means to be caustic or sarcastic.
It means to have pain in the mind.
Bitterness is also an expression of misery and disappointment.
Bitterness is severity of temper, biting sarcasm, painful inward affliction, deep distress of mind, and it defiles others as well as self.
Bitterness also means inward pressure, or to poison with a painful piercing and unpleasant irritation.
Bitterness results in hatred, cruelty, antagonism, implacability, vindictiveness, vengefulness, and inordinate ambition and inordinate competition.
In the administration of divine discipline to Israel, especially to the southern kingdom of Judah, it became quite apparent that they were a bitter people.
What happened first bitterness or the downfall and the destruction of the nation?
The people were bitter therefore their spiritual lives were destroyed.
2KI 14:26 For the Lord saw the affliction of Israel, which was very bitter.
The Jews brought upon themselves their own destruction which was very bitter and it was because of their own bitterness.
for there was neither slave nor free, nor was there any helper for Israel.
“Bitter people” are self destructive just as a bitter person is a walking bomb waiting to explode.
Suffering causes bitterness to people who do not understand the principles behind suffering and who do not give number 1 priority to their relationship with God.
DEU 32:24 “They shall be wasted by famine, and consumed by plague and their destruction will be bitterness.”
Ridicule is a source of bitterness in LAM 3:14
“I have become a laughingstock to all my people, Their {mocking} song all the day.”
LAM 3:15 “He has filled me with bitterness, He has made me drunk with wormwood.”
It is inevitable that when the truth is taught, there is going to be the reaction of bitterness.
GAL 4:16 Have I therefore become your enemy by telling you the truth?
ACT 8:23 “For I see that you are in the gall of bitterness and in the bondage of iniquity.”
    The 20th century translation,
“For I see that you have fallen into the bitterness of envy or jealousy.”
The Phillips translation, “You are a man bitter with jealousy.”
When someone leaves you be careful that you do not become bitter.
Being rejected is a strong reason for bitterness in the lives of most believers.
Degeneracy is also a source of bitterness.
ROM 3:14 Their mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.
EPH 4:31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice.
PRO 14:10 “The heart or the right lobe, brain function, knows its own bitterness, and a stranger does not share its joy.”
    Bitterness produces a complaining attitude.
Bitterness then is found in the believer who is a walking bombshell who has exploded within and has times of outward explosion as well.
JER 2:19 “Your own wickedness will correct you, and your apostasies will reprove you; know therefore and see that it is evil and bitter for you to forsake the Lord your God.”
JER 4:18 “This is your evil. How bitter! And how it has touched your heart.”

  • FOR THIS IS THE WORD OF PROMISE: AT THIS TIME I WILL COME, AND SARAH SHALL HAVE A SON. PART 4
For this is the word of promise: At this time I will come, and Sarah shall have a son. Part 4..
    Wednesday, February 25, 2009
Once again, the first word in this sentence is the instrumental noun Pistei which should be translated By means of doctrine resident in the soul“
And then the conjunction kai is very interesting because most of the time it is translated and but here it is correctly translated even Sarah
Because when the Bible teaches something contrary to public opinion, the Bible is always right!
However, here comes controversial statement number 2, It is very difficult for a woman to reach spiritual maturity because basically she is a responder and she has more distractions than a man who is not basically a responder except for those men out of their roles.
1CO 11:3 But I want you to understand that Christ is the head of every man, and the man is the head of a woman, and God is the head of Christ.
1CO 11:7 For a man ought not to have his head covered, since he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of man.
1CO 11:9 for indeed man was not created for the woman’s sake, but woman for the man’s sake.
So, being a responder instinctively, she is more sensitive to the distractions of life.
Remember that the Bible teaches that the winner’s name is recorded in the permanent historical record section because of his invisible historical impact during the Church Age, REV 3:12a.
REV 3:12 The winner, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God. Furthermore, he will never again vanish [go outside] from history. Also I will emblazon on him the title of My God, and the name of the city of My God the new Jerusalem, which shall descend from heaven from My God; also My new title [King of kings, Lord of lords, bright morning star].
The temple of God is the eternal record center in the future.
This temple of God will be the historical textbook of the true heros of history.
In fact, in GAL 2:9 the mature believer is currently called a pillar of the church.
2TI 3:6 calls these men silly women who are loaded down with sins and lead on by their multifarious lusts
The reason why silly women can also refer to men is that the noun gunaikaria translated silly women is in the neuter and it can refer to males or females.
The woman in response becomes aggressive.
And we are going to see this in our visible hero Sarah.
And by the way, the man being the aggressor does not have to initiate on every occasion.
If you are a true responder ladies, there will be some aggressiveness in your soul!
Sarah is only mentioned four times in the New Testament.
    1. Under the authority of her right man who is advancing spiritually.
So she follows her right man who is under the authority of a pastor-teacher who is given to equip the saints for the work of the ministry, EPH 4:12.
    2. The second way is that the woman does not have a right man, or lost her right man, or her right man has N.V.T.D., therefore, she must recognize the authority of her pastor-teacher.
    She designed to be under a man’s authority in the natural realm in 1PE 3:1-6, GEN 3:16, EST 1:20, EPH 5:24,COL 3:18, 1TI 2:12, TIT 2:5, 1CO 11:3, EPH 5:33.
    She is designed to be under a man’s authority in the spiritual realm, HEB 13:7,17, 1TH 5:12-13, 1TI 5:17, 1CO 16:16, ACT 12:28, 1CO 12:28.
HEB 13:7 Remember those who rule over you, who communicate the Word from God to you; carefully consider the issue of their way of life; imitate their doctrine.
HEB 13:17 Keep obeying those [pastors] who themselves are ruling over you, and submit to their authority, for they keep watch over your souls, as those who will render an account. Keep obeying them, in order that they may do this [accounting] with happiness and not with groaning, for this is unprofitable for you.
And let me tell something else, women are much more personality conscious then men are.
    1. Where they recognize the authority of their pastor-teacher and they recognize that it is a spiritual authority that relates to the communication of Bible doctrine and the teaching of doctrine.
    2. Secondly, where they recognize the authority of their right man and follow him in his P.V.T.D.
And, as one man said to me this week, there’s a fine line between manliness and male chauvinism and these type of women can distinguish between that fine line!
Sarah was a rebel type woman.
Now, notice she is called Sarrha which is different than Sarai because it means princess and obviously she has advanced from Sarai to Sarah or nagger, bitch, to princess!
    1. She grew up in a Semitic society where having male children and perpetuating the line was extremely important and she was barren!
    2. A second problem she had was that she was brilliant and beautiful, and therefore she was the target of a lot of female jealousy!
Jealousy is older than the human race because jealousy existed in eternity past when Lucifer, the son of the morning, became jealous of God.
The first case of jealousy in the human race
surfaced when Cain became jealous of his brother Abel.
1JO 3:15 Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer; and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.
Scripture describes jealousy as cruel; SOS 8:6.
anger, PRO 6:34, frustrating, PRO 27:4.
PRIN 1. Jealousy is a mental attitude sin which demands exclusive devotion and is intolerant of competition.
    2. It is discontent with the blessings, successes, or status symbols of other people.
    3. It is resentment of the attractiveness or approbation that a person receives.
    4. It is also total selfishness and is incapable of love.
    5. Jealousy is a possessiveness which suppresses the volition of another person; hence, jealousy is tyranny.
    6. Jealousy is also fear.
It was called in England the Morbidly Jealous Murderer

  • FOR THIS IS THE WORD OF PROMISE: AT THIS TIME I WILL COME, AND SARAH SHALL HAVE A SON. PART 3
For this is the word of promise: At this time I will come, and Sarah shall have a son. Part 3..
    Sunday, February 22, 2009
    HEB 11:11 By faith even Sarah herself received ability to conceive, even beyond the proper time of life, since she considered Him faithful who had promised;
She is called Sarrha which is different than Sarai because it means princess, and she advanced from Sarai to Sarah or nagger to princess.
    1. She grew up in a Semitic society where having male children and perpetuating the line was extremely important and she was barren.
    2. She was brilliant and beautiful, and therefore she was the target of a lot of female jealousy.
There is nothing that de-feminizes a woman more than jealousy and bitterness.
Jealousy is older than the human race because jealousy existed in eternity past when Lucifer, the son of the morning, became jealous of God, ISA 14:12-14.
The first case of jealousy in the human race surfaced when Cain became jealous of his brother Abel.
1JO 3:15 Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer; and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.
Jealousy, like many of the mental attitude sins can also produce physical sickness as well as mental disorders,PRO 14:30.
PRO 14:30 A tranquil heart [a right lobe with inner peace] is life to the body, But jealousy is rottenness to the bones.
Psychosomatics refers to physical symptoms caused by mental or emotional disturbance.
“Psuche” + “soma.” The first means “soul” with emphasis on mentality; the second one means “body.”
Any mental attitude of fear, worry, jealousy, bitterness, or anxiety, any continuous mental tension of any kind, will eventually overflow and release itself throughout the physical body.
It was discovered during the Korean War that many of our American soldiers died in prison camps from what we call give-up-itis.
It becomes increasingly common for people to suffer from such ailments as eczema, skin rashes, warts, allergies, hypertension, ulcers, and many other things, simply by the overflow of the pressures from the mind into the body.
When the psychosomatics are the cause of these ailments, and there is a change of mental attitude, a stabilizing of the mentality, results in the removal of the symptoms.
When the frontal lobe of the believer receives divine viewpoint and-or Bible doctrine, the result is peace, a relaxed mental attitude, stability, and a perpetual happiness.
But when the frontal lobe is crammed full of the human viewpoint, or when mental-attitude sins dominate the mentality of the soul, the result is inevitably self-induced misery.
Mental-attitude sins include pride, jealousy, bitterness, vindictiveness, implacability, guilt complex, hatred, etc.
Even your physical attractiveness is dependent on what you think.
    Toughness is a mental attitude.
PRO 3:8 It [doctrine] will be healing to your body, And refreshment to your bones.
PRO 4:22 For they [doctrines] are life to those who find them, And health to all their whole body.
PRO 16:24 Pleasant doctrines are a honeycomb, Sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.
PRO 15:30 Bright eyes gladden the heart; Good news invigorates the bones.
JOB 5:2 “For jealousy slays the foolish man and anger kills the stupid.”
As goes your mental attitude so goes your health.
PRO 27:3-4 A stone is heavy and the sand weighty, But the provocation of a fool is heavier than both of them. Wrath is fierce and anger is a flood, But who can stand before jealousy?
Jealousy destroys freedom because jealousy intrudes upon privacy.
    a. The arrogance complex of sins.
    b. The emotional complex of sins.
MAR 15:10 For he was aware that the chief priests had delivered Him up because of envy.
Acts 7:9 “And the patriarchs became jealous of Joseph and sold him into Egypt. And yet God was with him.”
Jealousy also split the nation Israel, ISA 11:13.
So great was the sin of jealousy in Israel that a special offering was made for it,
    NUM 5:11-31.
Jealousy is related to the suppression of pride, which is part of a trigger mechanism producing both false motivation and discord, PHI 1:15a.
PHI 1:15 Some, to be sure, are preaching Christ even from jealousy and strife,

  • FOR THIS PROMISE: AT THIS TIME I WILL COME, AND SARAH SHALL HAVE A SON. PART 2
For this is the word of promise: At this time I will come, and Sarah shall have a son. Part 2.
    Friday, February 20, 2009
    HEB 11:11 By faith even Sarah herself received ability to conceive, even beyond the proper time of life, since she considered Him faithful who had promised;
She is called Sarrha which is different than Sarai because it means princess, and obviously she advanced from Sarai to Sarah or nagger to princess.
    1. She grew up in a Semitic society where having male children and perpetuating the line was extremely important and she was barren.
    2. She was brilliant and beautiful, and therefore she was the target of a lot of female jealousy.
Jealousy is older than the human race because jealousy existed in eternity past when Lucifer, the son of the morning, became jealous of God.
ISA 14:12 How you have fallen from heaven, O star of the morning, son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the earth, You who have weakened the nations!
ISA 14:13 But you said in your heart, “I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God, And I will sit on the mount of assembly In the recesses of the north.”
ISA 14:14 “I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.”
The first case of jealousy in the human race surfaced when Cain became jealous of his brother Abel.
1JO 3:15 Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer; and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.
    Scripture describes jealousy as cruel,
    SOS 8:6; Anger,
    PRO 6:34; frustrating,
    PRO 27:4.
SOS 8:6 “Put me like a seal over your heart, Like a seal on your arm. For love is as strong as death, Jealousy is as severe as Sheol; Its flashes are flashes of fire, The {very} flame of the Lord.”
Fear of losing another’s affection or love; fear of rivalry; fear of unfaithfulness.
    7. Jealousy is also anti-freedom and does not permit people to love you from their own volition. ROM 13:13“Let us behave properly as in the day, not in strife or jealousy.”
    8. Jealousy is an emotional sin, as well as a part of arrogance; therefore, jealousy is irrational in its resentment of others.
    9. Jealousy is also an emotional sin; emotion has no ability to think or to reason; emotion is total irrationality.
    10. Jealousy is mood arrogance troubled by suspicion that a person’s love has been diverted to a rival.
    11. Jealousy is inordinate competition in love, in business, in social life, in athletics, in professional life, and, most unfortunately, in the spiritual life.
    a. Arrogance toward self, which is subjective arrogance.
    b. Possessiveness of others, which is objective arrogance.
She was the victim of jealousy because she had the unbeatable combination called beauty and brains.
She was the villain because she became jealous of those women who could bear children and she entered into the bitterness of barrenness.
Rejection of Bible doctrine produces jealousy and envy which inevitably leads to covetousness and the sins of the tongue.
Jealousy is a self destructive mental attitude and a system of thinking from the kosmos, the devil’s world called the kingdom of darkness.

  • FOR THIS IS THE WORD OF PROMISE: AT THIS TIME I WILL COME, AND SARAH SHALL HAVE A SON
    Pastor-Teacher Robert R. McLaughlin
    Thursday, February 19, 2009
There are 5 Jewish client nations in the past; there is a 6th one yet to come; that one will last for 1000 years in the Millennial period, after the Second Advent of Jesus Christ. The covenants = 4 unconditional.
The gift of the divine law, the only conditional covenant.
Instrumental noun Pistei = “By means of doctrine resident in the soul.” Conjunction “kai” = “even” Sarah
It is very difficult for a woman to reach spiritual maturity because basically she is a responder and she has more distractions than a man who is not basically a responder except for those men out of their roles.
SlideText[8] = Being a responder instinctively, she is more sensitive to the distractions of life.
The winner’s name is recorded in the permanent historical record section because of his invisible historical impact during the Church Age, REV 3:12a.
REV 3:12 “The winner, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God. Furthermore, he will never again vanish [go outside] from history. Also I will emblazon on him the title of My God, and the name of the city of My God -
the new Jerusalem, which shall descend from heaven from My God; also My new title [King of kings, Lord of lords, bright morning star].”
The temple of God is the eternal record center in the future. This temple of God will be the historical textbook of the true heroes of history.
In GAL 2:9 the mature believer is currently called a pillar of the church.
2TI 3:6 “Silly women who are loaded down with sins and led on by their multifarious lusts” SlideText[15] = Silly women - noun “gunaikaria” = “silly women” is in the neuter and it can refer to males or females.
The woman in response becomes aggressive.
It is very difficult for a woman to reach spiritual maturity because she has to overcome a lot more in her soul than a man does.
The man is the aggressor and the woman is the responder” does not mean that the woman is to stand around waiting for the man to be aggressive.
She will get very frustrated and bitter because of some things, however doctrine in the soul will solve her problems.
The man being the aggressor does not have to initiate on every occasion.
If you are a true responder ladies, there will be some aggressiveness in your soul. SlideText[22] = Sarah is only mentioned four times in the New Testament. Twice by the apostle Paul in ROM 4:19 and 9:9, once by Peter in 1PE 3:6, and once here in HEB 11:11.
    1. Under the authority of her right man who is advancing spiritually.
She follows her right man who is under the authority of a pastor-teacher who is given to equip the saints for the work of the ministry, EPH 4:12.
    2. The woman does not have a right man, or lost her right man, or her right man has N.V.T.D.; therefore, she must recognize the authority of her pastor-teacher.
    She designed to be under a man’s authority in the natural realm in 1PE 3:1-6, GEN 3:16, EST 1:20, EPH 5:24, COL 3:18,1TI 2:12, TIT 2:5, 1CO 11:3, EPH 5:33.
    She is designed to be under a man’s authority in the spiritual realm, HEB 13:7,17, 1TH 5:12-13, 1TI 5:17, 1CO 16:16,ACT 12:28, 1CO 12:28.
HEB 13:7 “Remember those who rule over you, who communicate the Word from God to you; carefully consider the issue of their way of life; imitate their doctrine.”
HEB 13:17 “Keep obeying those [pastors] who themselves are ruling over you, and submit to their authority, for they keep watch over your souls, as those who will render an account. Keep obeying them, in order that they may do this [accounting] with happiness and not with groaning, for this is unprofitable for you.”
Women are much more “personality conscious” than men are.
    1. Where they recognize the authority of their pastor-teacher - a spiritual authority that relates to the communication of Bible doctrine and the teaching of doctrine. 2. Where they recognize the authority of their right man and follow him in his P.V.T.D.
There’s a fine line between manliness and male chauvinism and these type of women can distinguish between that fine line!
Sarah was a rebel type woman.
She is called Sarah which is different than Sarai because it means princess; she has advanced from Sarai to Sarah or nagger, to princess!
She grew up in a Semitic society where having male children and perpetuating the line was extremely important and she was barren. 2. She was brilliant and beautiful, and therefore she was the target of a lot of female jealousy.

We cannot discover God’s character or His divine essence if it were not for the fact that situations or seemingly dark times are designed to reveal to us the grace and the love of God.
The light of knowledge in verse 6 - knowledge lets us see the true issue of the love of God, the motivator of the entire divine essence of God.
ISA 55:8 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Neither are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord.
PSA 2:1-4 - He would know the fury and rage of His enemies.
ZEC 13:7 says He would be deserted by His friends.
“Awake, O sword, against My Shepherd, And against the man, My Associate,” Declares the Lord of hosts. “Strike the Shepherd that the sheep may be scattered; And I will turn My hand against the little ones.”
In ZEC 11:12, it says He would be betrayed for thirty pieces of silver.
PSA 22:14-17 says He would be crucified.
PSA 34:20 says none of His bones would be broken, EXO 12:46.
EXO 12:46 “It is to be eaten in a single house; you are not to bring forth any of the flesh outside of the house, nor are you to break any bone of it.”
PSA 22:18 says His garments would be parted by the casting of lots.
PSA 69:21 says He would be given vinegar to drink.
PSA 22:1 says He would cry out in pain of distress.

  • He is Faithful

    He is Faithful
    In my moments of fear
    Through every pain every tear
There's a God whose been faithful to me
When my strength was all gone
When my heart had no song still in love
    He's proved faithful to me
Every word he's promised, is true
    What I thought was impossible
    I see my God do

    Chorus:
He's been faithful, faithful to me
Looking back his love and mercy I see
In my heart I have questioned even failed to believe
    When my heart looked away
The many times I could not pray
Still my God, He was faithful to me

The days I spent so selfishly reaching out for what pleased me
Even then God was faithful to me
Ev'ry time I come back to him
He is waiting with open arms and I see once again

    Repeat Chorus
