New beginnings!! That's what today is all about. Everything is made new, just as it was in Genesis chapter one, when the Lord spoke all of creation into existence. Every tree every mountain every living thing was made new, simply by the words that God spoke. I can only imagine how clean and fresh everything appeared on those 1st few days of creation. The fragrance of new blossoms and salty sea air… wow! Even after God had made everything so good in his sight, he still had one more creative idea… to make someone he could call a friend. Someone Who was like him in every way. So he created man and woman, and planted them in the garden, to care for his new creation. Today as we hear of the newness of creation, we too can become new. We too can put our past behind us, and look to the future. A future of growth, life, and newness in him. As we start this New Year, let's make a commitment to put away the past, and start afresh . And become a new creation.

Just a little about me.

What an incredible gift to the world! After all these generations, finally messiah was here! God with us! Do you want to know what I find truly unbelievable about this whole thing? He came down in the most vulnerable way possible. As a helpless baby. As a tiny, fragile infant. Completely dependent on the care and protection of normal everyday parents. Here was the king of kings, and the Lord of lords, and he was even unable to hold a sword! He didn't have teeth to chew! And yet, here he was. The saviour of the world. Born and lying in a feeding trough. This was God's plan from the beginning of time. For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only son. Merry Christmas, my friends. Take some time over this Christmas season to reflect on his incredible gift to us. For our salvation, and eternity with Him.

Starting on January 1st, 2021, we will begin our journey through the message by Eugene Peterson. I will be reading through the message paraphrase book by book, Alternating between Old Testament and New Testament books. Every day will be a few chapters from each book, as well as some versus from wisdom books. Every 7 days or so there will be a break for reflection. I hope you can join me!!
