Bible Jazz

Vernon is a Christian who's not afraid to share his experience with addiction and recovery. He strongly believes everyone is recovering from something and that the Bible is about the good news of Jesus as well as recovery. His podcast, "That Christian in Recovery," isn't about only drugs but about whole-self recovery and trying to help others fill their spiritual void in the only way that works -- in a relationship with God.

Buzz words! Diversity, equity, inclusion, and more... They might cause a buzz you like or a buzz you find troubling, but the only way to de-buzz them is to meet someone who has lived as an outsider, had to learn the unspoken rules of a culture, and now helps others do the same. And what implications does this all have for the American Church? Meet Lola.

Ryan Sweat is a student pastor (ages 11-18) in Jacksonville, Florida and has lots of great wisdom about kids. What "scares" adults about kids? What do kids really need from adults? Why is adolescence so hard? And what are some ideas for how to best share the love of God with today's teens?

Want to stop a party conversation in its tracks? Just say, "Hey everyone, let's talk about death!" Many people find the topic off-putting, and we make a great effort to avoid anything that even hints of mortality (besides watching the evening news and actions movies). But Chaplain Fred Grewe has sat beside with around 3,000 people as they faced the end of their lives. He helps us learn what death teaches us about truly living.

The goal of Rachel's podcast is to encourage others to UNADULT and approach the Lord with a child's heart, like Jesus tells us in Matthew 18, "Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven". Her prayer is for listeners is to be recharged by the Holy Spirit and be ready to walk in the joy of Jesus. He gives us everything we need to serve him.
