When Christians Look Down on Sinners | LGBTQ, Pride & the Pharisee Trap

In this deeply personal episode, I reflect on a troubling encounter with a Christian Facebook group known for pushing back against abortion and militant LGBTQ activism. What began as a meme mocking people with pronouns in their bios turned into a flood of judgmental, demeaning comments—many from fellow Christians.

Where’s the gospel in all this?

Jesus warned against religious pride and self-righteousness. In Luke 18:9–14, He declared a despised sinner justified—not the outwardly righteous Pharisee. This powerful parable reminds us that Christ came not for the righteous, but for sinners. So why do so many Christians act with such judgementalism, especially toward those in the LGBTQ community?

This isn’t about compromising truth—it’s about remembering mercy. We’re called to minister, not mock. To reach out, not recoil. If we forget that we ourselves were once lost, we risk becoming like the Pharisee who “trusted in himself that he was righteous, and despised others.”

Let this be a call to repent of pride, return to humility, and share the hope of the gospel with everyone—yes, even those we disagree with.

🙏 Jesus died for all. Even while we were yet sinners.

Watch now—and examine your own heart.

Racism—the belief that some races are inherently superior or inferior to others—leads to prejudice, discrimination, and deep division among people of different skin colours, ethnicities, and nations. It is a scourge on humanity that has fueled injustice and hatred throughout history. The Bible shows that even God’s chosen people were not immune to this disease of the heart. But God called them—and calls us too—to a higher standard: to see others not through the lens of race or culture, but through His eyes of love, justice, and mercy. This video explores how God confronted racial pride and prejudice among His own people, and how the Scriptures reveal His desire to unite all peoples in Christ.

What is the fate of the unsaved? Eternal conscious torment in the Lake of Fire, otherwise known as hell? -Which is the overwhelmingly accepted traditional doctrine. Or, does God still love them and reach out to them in the hopes of their repentance? This is the minority held doctrine of Universal Reconciliation.

When confronted with the traditionalist doctrine during a ChatGPT session I challenged this belief and presented the claims of Universal Restoration. Initially ChatGPT was firm in its support for the traditional doctrine.......but ended up changing its mind!

So much of the world has forgotten the reason for the season, the true meaning of Christmas. Christmas has been replace by Xmas and nativity scenes and traditional carols have been largely replaced by Santa Claus and reindeer, gifts, candy canes, Christmas trees, stockings, snow, wreaths, Christmas lights and baubles, and secular Christmas songs on a loop. Don’t get caught up in material gifts and shallow festivities. Turn you empty Merry Xmas into a joyful happy birthday Jesus celebration by giving the Savior the gifts He desires; your heart and your service.
