Isaiah, the son of Amoz, has a vision in the days of several of the kings of Judah. In it, God says that he nourished Israel, but Israel has rebelled, doesn't know anything, and is full of evil doers. In fact, he goes so far as to compare them to Sodom and Gomorrah. He goes on to say that all their sacrifices and festivals are worse than meaningless because of their evil. He asks them to reason with him and tells how they could be washed white as snow. He speaks firmly about the fate of those who continue in rebellion, but he will redeem Zion with justice. Read from the World English Bible.

Paul continues his letter, telling them to seek the things that are above.
