John and Mary discuss a variety of hot spots on the current scene: the Israeli/Lebanon flash point, Saudi Arabia and China mischief, and then the Saudi/Palestinian meddling. With so many fronts active, players are getting in place but the final configuration of so many scenarios is impossible to nail down. John will give us some insights into how this Fall could shake out in the Middle East. Then there is the BRICS economic bloc which seems to be headed for a greater economic impact in the world than previously designed for. As they consider expanding past the Brazil-Russia-India-China-South Africa configuration, what kind of reshuffle might we end up with among the nations, and what will happen to the dollar? All this and more with John’s quick mind and wealth of information.

A full hour dedicated to the futility of man who seeks to seal his own immortality in all the wrong ways.

[Original airdate 1/27/23] Pastor Paul Blair, Senior Pastor of Fairview Baptist Church in Edmond, Oklahoma, author, and founder of Liberty Pastors. He speaks nationwide about God in Government, apologetics, prophecy, and Biblical Worldview issues. Paul serves on the Board of Directors for Bott Radio, and the Oklahoma Apologetics Alliance.

Paul Blair was drafted by the Chicago Bears in 1986 playing under Coach Mike Ditka and alongside Hall of Famers Walter Payton, Dan Hampton, and Mike Singletary. At the age of 37, Paul Blair was called into full-time ministry. His passion is for the salvation of souls and also the restoration of Godly morality and decency in America. 

In 2008, Pastor Blair was one of the original 33 pastors that worked with the Alliance Defense Fund on Pulpit Freedom Sunday challenging the constitutionality of the 1954 Johnson Amendment. The number of pastors participating has increased every year since with over 1600 participating in 2012. Following the 2012 Pulpit Freedom Sunday, the IRS admitted that churches are tax exempt and do not require approval or a letter of exemption from the IRS.

In 2 Peter 3:4 we read that scoffers use the argument that “all things continue as they have been” which in nature is true. Where humans are concerned nothing could be further from the truth. Prophecy students have a general outline to follow, but unbelievers have no idea what’s coming. Nevertheless, some are anticipating what is called a “Black Swan event” – which by definition is a rarity that comes out of nowhere and subsequently causes great upheaval and change – and increases governmental control if manipulated. Believers are looking for the rapture – the ultimate Black Swan if there ever was one, of which humans have no control. Politically speaking, it could be the cancellation of elections, a limited nuke event, or comprehensive Middle East war. Good thing God is on the throne! Kings and Kingdoms, tribes and plundering hordes throughout time have sought land and possessions;  every gentile nation has warred and defended land but they have all faded into history and others have taken their place. Only Israel has an eternal promise from God Himself. Refugees have wandered after wars and assimilated into new homelands, yet the Palestinian people have been awarded “refugee” status for 3 generations now, thanks to the UN.
