Ephesians (Program #33) – To be Filled unto All the Fullness of God

The church means a variety things to different people.  Its’ lowest perception is that of a building on the corner. Higher yet is there is the gathering of the people of God.  Then to more enlightened students of the Bible is the Body of Christ. This is a more abstract term but certainly a higher understanding.

But finally we come to Ephesians especially Chapter 1, 2 and 3 where we see the highest definition of the Church. The Church which is His Body, the fullness of the One who fills all in all and to know the knowledge surpassing love of Christ that you may be filled unto all the fullness of God. To see it in this light as the fullness of God requires more than simply Bible study.  As we study today, it requires a vision even revelation.

Ruth (Program #5) – Boaz and Ruth Typifying Christ and the Church

Romans 7:1-4 say,

1 Or are you ignorant, brothers (for I speak to those who know the law), that the law lords it over the man as long as he lives?

2 For the married woman is bound by the law to her husband while he is living; but if the husband dies, she is discharged from the law regarding the husband.

3 So then if, while the husband is living, she is joined to another man, she will be called an adulteress; but if the husband dies, she is free from the law, so that she is not an adulteress, though she is joined to another man.

4 So then, my brothers, you also a have been made dead to the law through the body of Christ so that you might be joined to another, to Him who has been raised from the dead, that we might bear fruit to God.

This is the New Testament truth and now in the book of Ruth we are going to see an Old Testament picture that it helps us to explain what is the real meaning of these verses who is the old husband and who is the new husband and how is that we who are believers in Christ had been freed from any obligation to our old husband so that we can be joined to Christ our new husband and bear fruit for the fulfillment of God’s purpose.

Ephesians (Program #32) – To Apprehend the Dimensions of Christ and to Know the Love of Christ

Here is an interesting question for you. What are the dimensions of Christ?  Well, you say, I don’t know, the Bible does not tell us how big or small He was. We don’t know if He was tall or short, lean or heavy. That’s right, in His earthly we don’t know. But in resurrection it tells us.

In Ephesians 3 tells us that His height is the height and His depth is the depth and His breadth and length are the breadth and length. This means the dimensions of Christ equals the dimensions of the whole universe.

Ruth (Program #4) – Ruth’s Reward for God’s Economy

This a very aromatic portion of the Bible, a very sweet, pleasant portion of the scripture.  The subject is the matter that Ruth’s reward for God’s economy.

A review of how Ruth made a choice  for a goal and she exercise a right to enjoy the rich land which is a picture of Christ. In this program we are going to see that Ruth is a real seeker after God and she eventually gain what she has sought after. She chose a goal and she exercise her right and she sought for her husband in a home as a resting place.

Ephesians (Program #31) – To Be Strengthened into the Inner Man that Christ May Make His Home in Our Hearts

The apostle Paul offered two great prayers in Ephesians. The first in Chapter 1 was concerning vision even revelation that we would all see the mystery that had been hidden from the eternity past but was now been revealed to the holy apostles and prophets and also to us.

The second prayer, in Chapter 3 is a prayer for our experience because it’s not enough just to see the mystery of God’s purpose, we need to enter into the realm where it’s worked out and accomplished.  These are the two great prayers that the apostle Paul. And our focus today on the prayer for our experience.

Ruth (Program #3) – Ruth’s Seeking for Her Rest

In Ruth chapter 1, Ruth made a strong decision to follow Naomi back to the good land. And this typifies our decision to receive Christ. Today in the life study of Ruth, we are going to see that is not enough, we also need to enjoy Christ as typified by the gleanings that Ruth did from the Boaz’s field. And we also need to enter in to a marriage with Christ as typifies by Ruth marrying Boaz.

Ephesians (Program #30) – The Church for God’s Wisdom According to God’s Purpose

Ephesians reveals more clearly than any other writing in the New Testament, that the Church is the eternal purpose of God. In fact it goes so far as to say that God’s multifarious wisdom is made known to the universe through the Church. But how can that be? Because when we look at the Church, most often all we see are the difficult people, bringing all their difficult problems and failures with them into the Church. Well, problems and failures and how God deals with them is just exactly the environment He needs to fully display His infinite wisdom, His multifarious wisdom.

Ruth (Program #2) – Ruth’s Exercising Her Right

The book of Ruth is a rare delight.  It’s the sweet love story of a girl with a dark background but who through the mercy of Jehovah and through her own strong choice found a way to join herself to God, to His people and to His move on the earth.  In the process she even found a marvelous husband, a provider. But more than just the stuff of great stories are made up, the book of Ruth shows us much about ourselves and the full salvation that God is providing us and how we too can exercise to choose what He is offering to gain access to the rich inheritance that God desires all of His children to share.

Most people love mysteries. There is something about mysteries that engages us and hold our attention. And may be you even thought if I can just read the Bible like I read a good mystery. Well actually the Bible is the top mystery in the universe. Listen to the apostle Paul in

Ephesians 3 :3 “That by revelation the mystery was made known to me, as I have written previously in brief, By which, in reading it, you can perceive my understanding in the mystery of Christ, which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed to His holy apostles and prophets in spirit, as we look at the mystery of God, the unsearchable riches of Christ.

Ruth (Program #1) – An Introductory Word

The book of Judges is one of the most difficult in the Bible, it’s difficult because it records the history of Israel during one of its’ most miserable periods. Israel has forsaken God as her king, as her husband and every man had gone away doing what was right in his own eyes. The account of the loses and their battles against their enemies and the deplorable degradation of the people of God is quite depressing.

But following Judges comes one of the most sweetest and most lovely book of the Bible, the short book of Ruth.  People had always love the story through the ages, but just as the deplorable account in Judges has an intrinsic message to us as God’s people today so does the book of Ruth. For in this book we see in type, the incarnation of the redeeming Christ and the sinners choosing to join herself to her redeemer and His people resulting in her receiving the full inheritance of God’s people and eventually becoming an important person in the accomplishment of God’s purpose.
