  • Birth of CHRIST Pt 14: (Knowledge is not determined by a "show of hands")
    Proverbs 11:21
Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished,.... Though they give the hand to one another, unite in their counsels, enter into combinations, confederacies, and strict alliances, and join all their force and strength together; or though with both hands, with all their might and main, endeavour to secure themselves, yet they shall not go unpunished. This may be exemplified in the kings of the earth, that will join each other, and gather their armies together, to make war against Christ; when they will be conquered, taken, and slain, Rev_19:19. Jarchi interprets it, "from hand to hand", and explains it thus; from the hand of God into their hand shall come the reward of their work, and shall not go unpunished: to which may be added, even though there may be a succession of parents and children, and their substance may be handed down from the one to the other, yet at last just punishments will take place. To which is opposed,
but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered; these are the seed of the church in all successive ages; the seed that are accounted of by the Lord for a generation; particularly the remnant of the woman's seed, that keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ; against whom the dragon, the old serpent the devil, was wroth, and went forth to make war, in order utterly to destroy them; but they escaped his hands, were delivered from him, and preserved by the power and grace of God, as a seed to serve him, Rev_12:17.

  • True Birth of CHRIST Pt 13: REFUSE PROFANE AND OLD WIVES' FABLES
    1 Timothy 4:7
(KJVA) But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.

(BBE) But have nothing to do with unclean and foolish stories. Give yourself training in religion:

(BSB) But reject irreverent, silly myths. Instead, train yourself for godliness.

(CEV) Don’t have anything to do with worthless, senseless stories. Work hard to be truly religious.

(GNB) But keep away from those godless legends, which are not worth telling. Keep yourself in training for a godly life.

(ISV) Do not have anything to do with godless myths and fables of old women. Instead, train yourself to be godly.

(JMNT) Now you must constantly refuse and avoid (excuse yourself from) profane and old-womanish myths, yet habitually be training and exercising yourself, as in gymnastic discipline, toward reverence (standing in awe of wellness, with adoration; healthful devotion and virtuous conduct of ease, in true relation to God),

  • True Birth of CHRIST Pt 12: “LET US REBEL OR REVOLT”
Nimrod is there briefly characterized thus: “He began to be a mighty one in the earth. He was a mighty hunter before the Lord: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty huiter before the Lord.” This narrative is so brief that it is rather obscure. For the Hebrew word relieved “mighty” the Sept. gives γίγας, as if in allusion this, physical stature in connection with his power, or too Gen_6:4, as if the old antediluvian Titans had been reproduced
in Nimrod. It is hard to determine in what sense the
If the name Nimrod be a Shemitic one, then it plainly means “let us rebel or revolt;”:.
    — the connection and its results are apparent in the context. The prowess in hunting must have co-existed with valor in battle. What Nimrod did in the chase as a hunter was the earlier token of what he achieved as a conqueror. For hunting and heroism were of old specially and naturally associated, as in Perseus, Ulysses, Achilles, and the Persian sovereigns, one of whom, Darius, inscribed his exploits in hunting on his epitaph (Strabo, xv). The Assyrian monuments also
picture many feats in hunting, and the word is often employed to denote campaigning. Thus Tiglath-pileser I “hunts the people of Bilu-Nipru,” and one of his ancestors does the same thing. Both are represented as holding” the mace of power,” a weapon used in hunting, and at the same time the symbol of royalty. Sargon speaks of three hundred and fifty kings who ruled over Assyria, and “hunted” the people of Bilu-Nipru.

  • True Birth of CHRIST Pt 10: NIMROD King of Babel! ! !
The Babylonians, in their popular religion, supremely worshipped a Goddess Mother and a Son, who was represented in pictures and in images as an infant or child in his mother s arms
From Babylon, this worship of the Mother and the Child spread to the ends of theearth. In Egypt, the Mother and the Child were worshipped underthe names of Isis and Osiris, f In India, even to this day, as Isi and Iswara ; J in Asia, as Cybele and Deoius ; in Pagan Konie, asFortuna and Jupiter-puer, or Jupiter, the boy ; || in Greece, as Ceres, the Great Mother, with the babe at her breast, 1 !! or as Irene, thegoddess of Peace, with the boy Plutus in her arms ; ** and even inThibet, in China, and Japan, the Jesuit missionaries were astonishedto find the counterpart of Madonna and her child as devoutly worshipped as in Papal Rome itself ; Shing Moo, the Holy Mother in China, being represented with a child in her arms, and a glory around her, exactly as if a Roman Catholic artist had been employed to set her up.
