John 2 – It is in the tension between grace and the law that we find not just Jesus, but love. And who is Love? God is love.

John 1:10-51 – His Spirit has been poured out on all people. It is by His Spirit that we can truly know the love God. It is by His Spirit that we get, not always what we are looking for, but certainly what we need.

Luke 24:1-12 – This is not just my story, this is not just the story of the disciples, this is your story, this is our easter story.

Luke 19:28-40 – Today we are told that Christian’s should remain silent on social and political matters, today we are told that we are to pray in private and today we read of a stark contrast in Luke’s Gospel, where the very stones threaten to cry out should Jesus’ people remain silent.

1 Peter 5 – Peter encourages us to shear off the unnecessary stuff and he gives us rules for living as Christians that glorify God, Christians that have no need for the false protections and the false comforts that this world has to offer.

1 Peter 4:12-19 – Why follow this way of Jesus, why deny ourselves, why bring this kind of suffering on ourselves when others scheme to be living it up and getting off scot-free?

1 Peter 4:7-11 – God acts through us and in relationship with us. It is as we strengthen and nurture our relationship with God through Jesus, that we become vessels of grace, vessels manifesting his glory in our lives.

1 Peter 3:19-4:6 – Let us surprise the world with a demonstration of grace, with commitment to the faith, with an example of Godly living and with our resilience in the face of opposition.

1 Peter 3:8-18 – A beautiful image of a community that cares for each other and supports each other through thick and thin. A community that is so attractive, that others may actually want to be part of it.
