The evangelist is a shepherd at the core, who is sent to those outside the church rather than to those who are already saved.

Even though we do not know the way, the Way knows us. He promises us that he will be with us, keep us, and guide us. The future is in his hands, and so are we.

Our ability to bind and loose is based on Christ’s victory on the cross and through his resurrection, by which he disarmed the power of Satan, sin, sickness, death, and the flesh.

The gospel provides freedom from guilt and shame and the fear judgment.

In the articles that follow, I will show from the scriptures how the gospel sets us free from each of these tormenting fears that we may experience what it means to love and joyfully serve God and others from the heart.

The gospel reveals that Christ lives in us by faith now and keeps us focused on our promised heavenly reward.

With the Law, we get what we deserve - death; whereas, with the gospel of grace, we receive what Jesus earned on our behalf - forgiveness and eternal life.

As with every other gift from God, the baptism in the Spirit is received by faith.

To receive the baptism in the Spirit requires that we accept the truth of God's Word, receive his promise by faith, and act as if we believe he gave it to us.

Every time a Spirit-filled believer speaks in tongues, the the confusion of Babel is once again undone.
