The battle of the ages is being fought over Genesis because, if it can be shown that it is not literally and actually true, there is no reason to assume that anything else in the Bible is true.

Here are some resources that I think are very good that should help anyone who is interested in developing a proper biblical cosmology.

As I attempt to provide a basis for establishing a proper biblical cosmology, I have certain presuppositions or premises. If our premises are correct, they will help us arrive at proper conclusions. If our premises are incorrect, they will lead us into further error.

As disciples, we will accept what the Bible says, no matter what!

God told Job that the earth was formed like clay under a seal. We do not use these devices any longer, but the picture below show how edges are formed when the seal is pressed into the soft medium.

The word "firmament" better communicates something of its true nature - an immense and firm vaulted dome-like structure made of something like crystal or very strong glass.

Sharing our "back story" is another way for us to establish common ground with our listeners and sets the stage for relating how Christ intersected and transformed our lives.

Like Eve in the garden, we have been told that if we want to be wise, and we do, we need to believe the scientists rather than what God has told us in the Bible.

It's amazing how the Scriptures come alive when we stop superimposing our "scientific" presuppositions upon the text and let it speak for itself.

People cannot be saved through debate, only by making a commitment to the truth, who, it turns out, is a Person.
