Bible Time with Charlie

Jesus warned His disciples in Matthew 26 to “keep watch and pray” so that they would not fall into temptation. In today’s world, there is temptation all around us. If we want to stay alert and awake we must keep watch and pray. Always be on the lookout for the schemes of the devil, and make sure you are armed with the Armor of God so that when temptation comes, when worry comes, when sickness comes – you will be able to stand your ground. We must remain in a constant state of watching and praying, and we can only do that by keeping our eyes on Jesus, who is the Word. Pray in the Spirit, meditate on Scripture, go to church, stop sinning, and remain awake and alert so that you may stand firm until the end.

It's Mother's Day weekend and I had the amazing opportunity to sit down with a very special and important guest -- my mom. My mom is awesome! She has taught me so much, and I can honestly say that she has a lot do with the person that I am today. Today we talk about the Power of Prayer (especially in regards to your children), Women Preachers, Purity, Pleading the Blood of Jesus and so much more. I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did, and happy Mother's Day to all the amazing faith-filled mothers out there who raised us right!

Modern Christianity has us feeling like we don’t have to do anything. “Jesus did all the work, so I don’t have to do anything!” While, yes, this is true when it comes to our salvation (we can do nothing to earn it), it doesn’t mean we as Christians just sit around like a bunch of lazy bums and do nothing for the rest of our lives! God gave us all gifts, and it’s up to us to use our gifts with the time that He gave us here on this earth to advance His Kingdom. It all starts with being born again, but once we are born again, that’s when the real work begins! We are called not just to have faith, but to put our faith to action for “faith without action is dead.” So, I guess the question is: what are you doing with what God has given you to bring people to Him before He returns? We should all be doing something. The “Faith Giants” in Hebrews 11 weren’t just commended for how great their faith was – they were commended because of what they DID with their faith. We have to DO something with our faith!

Don't give up praying. You may be praying for something, and maybe you've been praying for a long time -- don't give up. Jesus encouraged His disciples in Luke 18 not to give up on what they were praying for. It may take days, it may take weeks, it may take months or years -- but if you pray for anything according to God's Will, it will be done, and it will be done in HIS perfect timing. The prayer of faith is powerful and effective. Don't lose hope, and don't lose faith.

I had a great time sitting down with my friend, Micah Kunkle, to talk a little bit about his background in debate and how one can be an effective debater who stands for truth without wavering. We covered a wide range of topics in this episode including life in the womb, Christian dating, the current state of the Republican Party, Zionism, and more. Micah is a great guy and he is very smart! I hope you enjoy listening to this episode as much as I had filming it!

Jesus's trial leading to the cross was very strange, unusual, and highly illegal. The most fascinating part about it, however, is how closely the events of Jesus's trial line up with Old Testament Prophecy, especially concerning Isaiah 52-53. On today's episode, we start with Old Testament prophecy and see how accurately it lines up with Jesus's trial before Pilate and the High Priest. As you watch today's episode, keep the following verse, Isaiah 53:7 in mind: "He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth". Enjoy, and Happy Holy Week!

Do not allow your house to be empty. Your body is a house— as a matter of fact, it’s the Holy Spirit’s house if you are born again, and it’s so important to fill our house with good things! Our eye is the lamp of the body, and if we allow bad things into our body, we will be full of darkness, and we give a foothold to the enemy. If we allow good things into our body, we will be filled with light and people will see that light and glorify God in heaven! It’s so important to fill ourselves with good things daily. Fill yourself with the Word, spend time in prayer, speak positive and Godly things, and surround yourself with good people and you will absolutely fill your house with good things! We talk about this and more on today’s episode. Enjoy!

March 17th wasn’t always about luck, rainbows, and leprechauns — in fact it wasn’t about that at all! St. Patrick’s Day is deeply rooted in Christianity and the true story behind it should serve as a reminder for how important it is to love our enemies, pray for them, and share the gospel with everyone. St. Patrick’s Day is about being the light that DRIVES OUT the darkness.

Today we also read Ecclesiastes 10 and talk about how important it is to watch our words, and to speak wisely and boldly. Remember, one bit of foolishness can ruin your entire reputation and set you back. That’s why it’s very important to stay on the path by keeping your focus on Jesus and the Word.

Stop giving the devil a foothold. Stop giving him a reason to rob, kill, and destroy. We give the devil a foothold through continuous, unrepentant sin. Bitterness, envy, anger, lust, addiction — all of these things give the devil room to come in and cause sickness, fear, anxiety, and in some cases, even death. We need to stop giving the devil a foothold by refusing to give into our fleshly desires and by beginning to live life by the Spirit.

Spend Your Days Wisely

Ecclesiastes 9

Today we talked about how important it is to utilize the time we are given on earth to not only enjoy life, but to hear God’s voice and obey. One day, you won’t be here on earth anymore, and that’s why it’s so important to use our time on earth wisely and with purpose. We should be spending every day in service to the Lord, because He is the reason we are here. Amen!
