What are the best translations? Is it acceptable to use a translation? Can we be sure that we have God's word when using a translation? These questions and more are addressed in this episode. Gary begins by showing that translations are authorized by God because Jesus used a translation and then continues a rich study on the subject. He discusses manuscript evidence in the original languages and how we can be sure we have the content of the original documents. He also discusses the first English translations and the hardships associated with producing them.  He also discusses modern translations including the New International Version.
