Our relationship to Jesus has changed since our redemption by Him. We are now as a friend in some instances, even thou we are bond-servants, along with being joint heirs we are in a process, that is finished but has to be carried out, if spiritually you understand that. The Day of the Lord will have dual purposes, in one it will vindicate, exalt and raise God's children above and to their places of blessing not to be downcast, frustrated persecuted anymore, but it will be a day of vengeance on the enemies of God. A day of recompense of their deeds back upon their own heads. It is of the Lord to trouble those who have troubled you.
