God's children must live a disciplined life, that He assures by His correcting, chastening and punishing. Here when speaking of an ever-increasing kingdom, that will last throughout eternity, it's the same one declared by Jesus when talking with His disciples. It's the same Kingdom Daniel spoke about in Daniel 2-33-46, that would smote the 10 toes of the statue that was in his dream.
