When coming to Christ, there are choices that we must make to purge, cleanse the body, and mind of the filth that has accumulated from living in a sin ladened world. We must be overcomers in this present life, through the word of God by His Spirit.

For one t serve God, having a purifying experience is necessary to purge one of his sins. This process occurs over a lifetime as most of the works of God in our lives. It continually burns away the old man and his works

In Isaiah chapter 6 we study of how he was purged from his sins before he was able to serve God. He felt his guilt, ruin and condemnation lifted from him. The coal was symbolic of the fire of God that serves as a refining for His servants to reconcile them to God, with others -unbelievers, rebels, mockers- left to the fires of judgment

Here the Prophet gets a view of God's Sovereignty, His glory, power sitting on His Throne in the temple. He receives his sanctification which motivates him to volunteer, to go and witness for God. Realizing it's a task where the people won't hear, see, or understand.

To perceive is one of those things done in the flesh that profits nothing spiritually, but it can increase our abilities and accomplishments when done by the spirit. It's a sharpening of our spiritual discernment, that strengthens the Church.
