Perhaps most compelling is the founders' understanding of self-defense as an inalienable right based on "the laws of nature and nature's God." Christians today have largely abandoned their responsibility to tend God's garden across all spheres of society. When mayors of major American cities win with just 2-6% of adults voting, we see the consequences of this retreat.
