Preamble:
Leaders lead up, across and down in an organization. It is misleading to shy away from leading simply because one is not occupying the top position in a Parish or an organization. Myths promote useless speculations that are destructive to the body of Christ.
Questions:
What are the myths believed by people far from the top of an organization?
How do leaders overcome the myths believed by people not occupying the top position in Parishes or Departments?
Authentic leaders must debunk myths related to the position (myth 1), destination (myth 2), influence (myth 3), inexperience (myth 4), freedom (myth 5), potential (myth 6), and all or nothing (myth 7). To lead like Jesus, we must seek to make the greatest impact in the lives of His flock whether we are in the spotlight or not.

Preamble:
Leaders tend to either avoid conflict or go into it without a clear approach to realize a positive outcome. Conflicts lead to derailment of purpose and focus. Conflict leads to discouragement and makes a mockery of the Great Commission, which is to make disciples of all nations.
Questions:
What helps leaders to navigate conflict?
What prevent leaders from rushing to judgement?
What prevent endless arguments in conflict?
How do we disarm conflict in leadership?
Graceful leaders lean into conflict (move 1), do not rush into judgement (move 2), set clear boundaries with compassion (move 3), avoid pride and prejudice (move 4), and use the way of Grace to bring more people into fellowship (move 5). To lead like Jesus, we must use Grace to disarm conflict in all circumstances.

Season 1 theme: Authentic Leadership
Preamble:
Circumstances often blind us to the fact that challenges are usually not as big as we think. When we are low in being thankful for the work of God in our life, our followers are exposed to unwanted and undesirable leadership acts.
Questions:
What is the gateway to Grace in Leadership?
How do we shift our focus away from challenges?
How do leaders cultivate gratitude practices that positively influence others?
Gratitude is the gateway to Grace in Leadership. It reminds us that God is bigger than what we face in ministry and the secular world.

Season 1 theme: Authentic Leadership
Preamble:
Grace, which is unmerited favour, is lacking in the decisions and actions of Christian leaders. When Grace is applied to people-to-people relationships, it is the practical expression of love to one another. This expression is becoming scarce in churches.
Questions:
What are the tenets of Graceful Leadership?
How does one become Graceful to self and others?
How do leaders adapt to unique situations without losing a sense of purpose?
To be a Graceful Leader, Christians must deploy integration, evolution, transparency, connection, co-creation, and compassion in their service arsenal.

Season 1 theme = Authentic Leader
Preamble:
Leaders struggle to get the best from their teams. The led also fail to get blessed by their leaders. There is a misalignment of expectations between leaders and the led.
Questions:
What makes an authentic leader effective?
How do authentic leaders bring out the best in people?
What leadership style best suit authentic leaders?
A godly moral compass makes an authentic leader effective. Please do not follow the directive leadership style rigidly. Use consensus and affiliation to build interdependent relationships that bring out the best in leaders and the led.

Season 1 theme = Authentic Leader
Preamble
When passed over for a new role, there is a temptation to change course or jump the ship. Following the True North of Life Compass is disturbed by the timetable of Life Clock.
Questions:
How do we lead with purpose and passion?
How do leaders follow their ‘compass’ and not ‘clock’ in difficult situations?
Do not follow the clock. Do not be moved by situations and circumstances. Be driven by God’s purpose. Know and follow your compass. Run the race with passion, purpose, and the proper perspective of God. Stay on the mission like Paul and Jesus Christ.

Season 1 theme = Authentic Leader
Preamble:
When people are looking to see exemplar leadership, Christians are often exposed to mediocrity and a poor sense of judgement. Some Christian leaders show disappointing choices of actions in ministry and secular assignments. The flock that expects their shepherds to consult, understand, and direct them are demotivated with specific encounters.
Questions:
If the answers to these questions do not resonate with expectations of servant leadership and leading like Jesus, a motive trap may be at work in the life of a Christian leader. Such a trap must be avoided with some or all the antidotes highlighted in this episode.

Season 1 theme = Authentic Leader
Preamble:
People who derail are not usually bad leaders. Through life roles and organisational roles, we are all leaders. However, authentic leaders that model Jesus Christ is scarce today. Most leaders today are not shamed to demonstrate self-promotion or self-preservation to all to see. The fear of failure even turns good leaders to the other side of the coin.
Questions:
Why do leaders lose their way?
Why do leaders with potentials derail in Christian and secular roles?
What motivate people to lead?
If the answers to these questions touch on power, control, prestige and money, such a leader may be trapped by external rewards as the source of fulfilment. Derailment or loss of internal compass beckons.
