Many false prophets are in the world, but in 1 John 4 we are told to test the spirit. Life in the spirit is love, joy and peace and others. There are dangers in living in our emotions.

Temptations come, but how can we master them? God teaches us how to stand strong against the temptation. We are told to flee youthful lusts that is how we fight.

We all have pain and hurting experiences in our past, but God wants us to heal from those damaged emotions that we bring into our lives. Emotions can show us where we have wounds that need healing.
