Beloved in Luke 19:13 Jesus called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come. 

Now, this is the word of Jesus to us today, the waiting church, "Occupy till I come. “Beloved we are not to sit back and say, "Well, the Lord is coming; there’s no sense of finishing my education. Well, the Lord is coming; there’s no sense in me starting this business project...or, let’s just wait, because the Lord is coming. Some Christians are saying  "Well, let’s go out and charge everything, because the Lord’s coming, and we won’t have to pay for it."  No, he said Occupy till I come,  listen we are not to plan our lives based upon the Lord’s coming in a particular span of time. But we are to occupy until He comes. Yet, anticipate Him to come at any moment, and never get so involved that I’m not ready to drop things at a moment’s notice. Because that’s what we may have to do. Beloved we are to use the time that we have wisely in our serving the Lord. We are to occupy until He comes, but never to just sit down and say, "Okay, Lord, we’re just going to wait now here until you come.  In the midst of this crazy world, may we keep busy until He comes. Beloved 2 Timothy 3:13-15  says 

While evil people and deceivers will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.   But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it.

and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 

Such is the picture of the last days before the rapture of the church. Now what can the people of  God do in days like these?

Beloved the only antidote against a world of apostasy is the Word of God. Listen the only resource and recourse for the child of God is the Word of God.

Paul tells Timothy to continue in the things he has learned. He had learned the Holy Scriptures because his grandmother and mother were Jewish women and she made sure that Timothy grew up on the Word of God.

“Which are able to make thee wise unto salvation.” What kind of salvation is he talking about? After all, Timothy was already saved. Well, salvation occurs in three tenses. There is the past tense: I have been saved from sin. The present tense is: I am being saved from sin. The third tense is future: I shall be saved from sin. Let me clarify what I am saying.  In the past tense, we have been saved. Christ paid the  judgment of death for us. When we believe on Him, we pass from death to life, and we are no longer under condemnation—“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus …” (Rom_8:1). We are also being saved. He is working out a salvation in us, and we won't even have that perfected in this life. But as we look into the future we know a day is coming when “… it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him …” (1Jn_3:2). Paul is saying that the Scriptures not only give us the M. O. of being saved (that is, passing from death to life and having eternal life and becoming a child of God) but save us in this present evil world—enable us to grow and give us deliverance down here. I contend that the constant study of the Word of God is the only help that any of us has. It can make us “wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.”

Beloved in Romans 1:18-32 The wrath of God is revealed.” If you want to know what salvation is, you have to know how bad sin is. Listen God’s wrath is his righteous and just reckoning against sin. The focus here in Romans 1:18-32 has to do with God’s wrath in history not in eternity, and He does not apologize for it. 

Is being revealed” is God's answer to those who assert that the Old Testament presents a God of wrath, while the New Testament presents a God of love. There is a nonstop revelation of the wrath of God in both the Old Testament and the New Testament. Beloved It is revealed in our present-day society. This is God's endless and unyielding displeasure with evil. He changes not. God is merciful, not because He is soft with the sinner, but because Christ died. The gospel has not changed God's attitude toward sin. The gospel has made it possible to accept the sinner. The sinner must have either the righteousness or the wrath of God. Both are revealed from heaven. And you can see it on every hand. If you want to know how bad sin is, today, turn on the news, look at social media,   look at our society today, people can’t tell a girl from a boy. I hear just the other day a woman testifying in Congress, that men now can give birth.

Sinful human beings would rather suppress the truth, rather than confess that they are sinners. Listen to suppress something means “to hold it down” A  beach ball held underwater resists and wants to pop back up; so if you want to keep the ball under, you have to force it down. Listen people tend to do the same thing to the truth about God’s righteousness because we don’t want to deal with it. 

  Beloved you don't get by with sin. I won't give personal illustrations, but I have been in the ministry long enough to see again and again the judgment of God upon sin. It is revealed from heaven.
