  • The Bicoastal Hootenanny 0039: “To Each, His Own…Except When It Comes to Slavery”
Emily Ann Sanders Hyndman, fresh off a vacation to the Virgin Islands, sits in with Adam this week.  Adam reviews 12 Years a Slave in JD’s Office and spends a couple seconds on his soap box made of ivory tower-shaped high horses talking about northern regionalism regarding southern racism.  In a big week for 1st Down & Balls, Emily vies to extend her two-week win streak over Adam.

  • The Bicoastal Hootenanny 0038: See Emily Drink
Nate and Adam are joined from afar today by the lovely Emily Ann Sanders Hyndman… but something is different about her. More on that later.
The boys begin the show discussing what is and isn’t appropriate to wear on Halloween. Adam then launches into a tirade about overweight diner staff and Fat America. Don’t worry, the boys would never fat-shame anyone. Ever.
After a few weeks’ absence, Nate and Adam step back into “JD’S OFFICE“, where they both have different takes on the recently released remake of Stephen King‘s Carrie (¢). This friendly disagreement leads to a very philosophical discussion on the merits of having your ass kicked at least once in your life.
The boys continue their philosophical streak in “The Probe“, where they discuss thug rapper/singer Chris Brown’s newest felonious antics and lament the passing of 2 celebrities this past weekend.
After the break, Adam plays a message from Emily- who is far away in St…. Somewhere in the Carribean- in “See Emily Play.”  Normally the model of class and sophistication, it seems our beloved Emily has imbibed a cocktail. Or seven.
And finally, Adam throws Nate a bone and lets him do “First Down and Balls” all by himself. Yeah that’s right… Nate’s deficit has gotten that big.

  • The Bicoastal Hootenanny 0037: “Bastard Ass Lesbian Uzbekistan Titties”
Sometimes, Adam and Nate get a little testy with each other. Today is one of those days.
Adam kicks us off with a tale of New York mosquitoes that rival those from the bayous where he and Nate grew up. Nate then contributes a pick of his to Adam’s “WNBA alternate universe” from last week’s Tootnanny Tuesday.
Nate opens up “The Probe,” where he exposes Michael Douglas as a bold-faced liar. Thought you could trust Douglas? Well you were wrong. Next, The Probe skewers Tea Party figurehead Rick Scarborough who wants to “sue homosexuality.”  Sounds dumb right? How could one possibly pull this off? For daring to ask such questions, Nate is shat upon by Adam… and they have one of their little BitchFests.
Back from the break, the bickering continues until Adam questions the meaning of the phrase “gaslighting.” The boys then welcome Red Shtick Podcast co-host and Bicoastal Hootenanny Executive Producer Jeremy (¢) White to Adam’s “Balls.” Together, they mourn the passing of Bum “White Stetson” Phillips and discuss the current Grambling State football controversy.
“First Down & Balls” officially jumps the shark, as Adam has managed to widen his  lead (convenient isn’t it?)… will Jeremy’s presence help Nate gain some ground, or will he only help Adam’s cause?

  • Frizzell Friday 003: What We’re Up Against
Nate flies solo again, where he continues his quest to bring you the everyday little things that just seem to bug the piss out of him.
From Mormons invading Jewish turf, to Asians who seem to know more than they’re letting on, Nate questions anything and everything in Episode 3. As the LSU Fightin’ Tigers prepare to play their old “rival” Ole Miss this weekend, Nate introduces an Ole Miss Rebel fan who is sure to charm you and revile you at the very same time.
    Gotta love those SEC fans!

  • Tootnanny Tuesday 014: “Hypothetical WNBA Team Names Featuring Chris Trew”
Basketball season is approaching, and Adam’s imagination is running wild.  This week he enlists the help of our good friend, New Movement Theater producer and Air Sex World Championships commissioner Chris Trew from New Orleans, to play a solid round of “Let’s Play Make Believe,” in which Adam and Chris play the part of co-NBA commissioners who, in an alternate universe where the WNBA does not yet exist, create a new Women’s National Basketball Association with 30 teams, each matched with one existing NBA team, and then name those teams.  The team nicknames with which they come up are funny, appropriate, inappropriate, and sometimes downright disgusting.

  • The Bicoastal Hootenanny 0036: “Rick Shaftan Is a Stupid Fat Ass”
Nate went camping this weekend. Adam did not.
And thus begins another Hootenanny. The boys spend a few minutes ranting about surprises Nate encountered on his camping trip- ghost trannies, ghetto wineries and ‘coons- before stepping into “JD’s Office” where they discuss Gravity.  With Adam’s warm reception of the film, The Bicoastal Hootenanny officially recommends it to all Hooteneers. Go see it!
As always, “The Probe” works to expose the ugliness that is… Kanye West. Actually, Nate reverses his anti-Kanye stance to defend a racist rant aimed at the outspoken hip-hop artist. Always one for social justice, Nate and Adam “out” Rick Shaftan- the recently fired Republican strategist who made Mayor Cory Booker of Newark, NJ the target of a homophobic rant.
The Government Shutdown Countdown, brought to you by The Probe:
    Day 14.
Adam’s “Balls” shine in this episode…as there is plenty of sports news from the weekend and the boys are joined by none other than “Basketball” Dave Folse… who is on some road somewhere between Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Natches, MS. Slowly but surely, Nate is gaining on Adam- who has a huge lead in First Down and Balls.
Will this week make the difference? Join us and find out…

  • Frizzell Friday 002: “Gravity”
This week Nate brings his ol’ buddy Adam “Tootnanny” Wilson onto Frizzell Friday.
Lo, the government shutdown continues… but fear not! For many are beginning to take matters into their own hands. Like Chris Cox from South Carolina. As they are wont to do discussion of this subject leads them off-topic, where they reminisce about one of their hot college professors.
Nate introduces his “Rant Of The Week”… and delves into a very real problem plaguing the gymnasiums of America.
Finally, the boys close out with by entering “JD’S Office” where Nate praises the new film Gravity. Adam asks Nate for spoilers. Nate refuses.
    Fun times. Join us.
